I don't remember that scene. What episode was it in? I have finished episode 16 maybe I just missed it?
Forget about the 31:08 thing. Different platforms have different lengths. It should be more than half way through the episode.

Episode 14, 31:08. Correction, not Ying Pei but rather, Ji Yun Chen tells Xie Meimei about Zhou Fei cutting off the enemy. After Xie Meimei's complaint, Ying Pei just rolls his eyes. So hilarious! That's my favorite scene.

This drama is not serious one bit, everything seems to be a joke. I just like how funny it is sometimes.
Worth watching? I do need something that makes me laugh out loud :D

Don't remember that scene but I may not have seen it yet. Sad to say I have so far found all attempts at humor…
I would have preferred they are more serious than having too many of this type of recycled jokes.

like Duan Jiu Niang and Master Ji.
That's one thing with wuxia stories - there's a lot of characters come and go. So, don't attach emotionally to any characters except the main ones.

like Duan Jiu Niang and Master Ji.
That's kind of the style of wuxia - old people pass on their extinct skills to the chosen and then die themselves.

All right. I might write an actual review later, but I wanted to share some thoughts here first. This would be…
I also think they've cut out many scenes, especially towards the end of the whole drama. I believe the scenes they've taken out are probably the supernatural stuff of Bo Wang, and without those scenes, they've made him an earthly being.

I laughed at that scene when Yin Pei says Zhou Fei is cutting off the enemy, Xie Meimei says, "What? She's cutting off my 'hou' (implying what if she dies and he will not have any descendants with her)." There are so many such little funny gestures and dialogues here and there, but sometimes if overly used, may make the show less exciting and more just a silly comedy.

Are you talking about the last 15 minutes of eps 14 that I don't understand? The things they should all do at…
Right, instead of run, run, run, they joke, banter, dilly dally. Sigh!

Title The Wolf
for those who have seen at least episode 38/39, do you have a strong preference for any of the male leads? i'm…
My heart is towards Bo Wang. A lot of his actions are being misinterpreted by viewers. People cannot accept his meanness and his seemingly despicable actions. But for me, I understand his thinking and empathize with him. As much as I like the Ji Chong character, to me, he's like a side show. With or without him, the show still continues and ends as it does.

With this comment, I know I'm opening a can of worms. So be it :)

May I ask where you watched this with eng subs?
No English subs, just raw I'm afraid. Nobody seems to bother to translate, probably due to low demand. If you can watch on YouTube, you can turn on the auto translate. Not 100% but better than nothing.

Ok I have to say this bunch keeps stopping to chat when the enemy hot on their heels... smh... low survival instincts...
That's what I was thinking: there's no sense of urgency when deadly killers are behind them, and they're still dilly dallying. Perhaps the director is trying to show us these are just youngsters who lack, ..... ahem. Sigh!

Yes, the actors for both the Zhao Yan and Guo Kai characters are amazingly good.

Getting the hang of the bizarre stuff now, and finding the story rather interesting and the dialogues, er, rather rudimentary but cute. Everyone seems to be pretty simple minded, and Xie Yun is the only crafty one that knows everything and has to explain things to everyone. Luckily Zhou Fei catches pretty fast.

Title Qin Dynasty Epic Spoiler
eps 57 Zhao Yan on most part was dictating things on this tour but blew it at the end. There were obvious reasons…
It only seems like Zhao Yan is dictating things. Everything is a scheme by Ying Zheng and Zhao Yan is playing exactly how Ying Zheng wants him to play. Like the 'head' thing. Ying Zheng knows Zhao Yan would ask for Dan's head, and Ying Zheng has it ready should it come down to this. Ying Zheng is a brilliant schemer and strategist. Even Li Si admits that because he can read Ying Zheng's mind.

LOL! I survived And the Winner is Love because I wanted to see how my 2 heroes fight their enemies hand in hand. Of course this was just wishful thinking and there was none. Today, I don't even remember how the drama ended :D
