Why would SLG be dead after drinking the wine if it's not poisonous? She's not dead. She likes to drink wine as she's thinking through her options. She doesn't want Peng Cheng Wang to give up everything to run away with her (at that time, LYK still hasn't obtained the pardon from the Emperor yet). She goes earlier to her parents' house and finds it empty. Her injured shi xiong and shi di are also gone. Everyone just disappears. That's because LYK has arranged to hide them away before he runs away with her. He's planning that, otherwise all her family and anyone related to her would be executed if she disappears. First of all, LYK is not the Emperor. He has never been. He's just a King and a regent who has the power to take care of everything for the Emperor, but the ultimate power is still held by the Emperor.

SLG drinks some wine. There's no indication that it's poisonous. The viewers just jump to that conclusion.

SLG doesn't need to escape because she has been pardoned by the Emperor. LYK comes back with the pardon letter to find her gone, not dead.

LYK is not saying goodbyes, he's just living his life as normal, indicating that SLG is not dead; he is not in mourning or anything.

SLG and LYK have a hide-away place that they share. After LYK finishes all his work and implementation of his policies successfully, he leave everything to his younger brother, Jing Ling Wang, and goes and meets up with SLG. The historical record says that around that time, he was actually stripped off from all his titles and became a commoner and went into exile. So for this drama, it ends when he's no more Peng Cheng Wang.

The writer is naughty. He knows exactly what the viewers will think and jump into conclusion. No, I see platonic relationship for Ziqiu and Ling Xiao's little sister. He wants a little sister because Jianjian has been hijacked. She wants a big brother that she never gets from Ling Xiao, the way Ling Xiao treats Jianjian when they were little (that's why she hates Jianjian because she's envious). Now she finds it in Ziqiu.

I'm still very hopeful. It's going to happen. It may not be right away. I don't see Ziqiu falling in love with any other girls at the moment and I don't see Mingyue falling in love too. She is going to focus on her career to prove her mother wrong (by leaving for Beijing but still keeping her room with Jianjian). I see her coming back, confident, and she and Ziqiu are going to spark. Ziqiu would be pretty successful by then that he's now finally 'whole' with parents that love him, surrounded by brother and sisters.

For Ziqiu, Ling Xiao's sister is like a little sister to him because she reminds him of Jianjian; he wants his little sister back.
For Ling Xiao's little sister, she wants a big brother that treats her like the way he treats Jianjian, and she can't find it in Ling Xiao. That's why she hates Jianjian because she envies her. With Ziqiu, she finally finds what she's looking for, a big brother. Their relationship is going to be platonic.
