The father went into emergency and had an operation. Their family members scolded the daughter for not listening to the father and causing his illness. It's so unfair for saying that. Many parents do blame their children for any illnesses they may have.

From the look of it so far, the writing is very tight, no obvious flaws or plot holes. So I'm pretty comfortable that the writers will close everything properly for the viewers. Don't worry.

Song Weilong's Ling Xiao is 100%. He captures everything I would have imagined Ling Xiao to be. Beautiful acting. Bravo!

Ziqiu and Mingyue are meant for each other - he saved her, she's seen him naked, she fancies him in high school. Now the only obstacle is if Ziqiu can pass Mingyue's control-freaked mom. It seems Mingyue is getting stronger and can stand up for herself, so she would not be intimidated by her mom.

Zhuang Bei and Tan Can make a beautiful pair for many reasons. He's a professional and definitely passes Tan Can's mom's requirements easily. His mom likes Tan Can. Tan Can will get into some contracts that may require Zhuang Bei's professional assistance, and he may even act as her agent/lawyer.

So all ends well. All the others such as Ling Xiao's little sister and mom, Ziqiu's mom etc are just noise like the annoying aunties XD
