Ziqiu's biological father is terrible. Poor kid just keeps getting kicked in the face! But I don't understand how…
His mother doesn't discover she's pregnant until after she gets divorced. So when he's born, his father is still a good-for-nothing and doesn't want to take responsibility. His maternal grandmother gets custody of the child when his birth mother leaves. I'm so glad his grandmother doesn't abandon him to his birth father. We can relate this so well and can empathize with Ziqiu because cases like this happen all over the world in every second.
Steven Zhang's acting is so good! He is the best out there. Seven Tan is not bad either but when I comes to Wei…
That's why he gets that role; it doesn't require too much talking nor too many expressions because Ling Xiao is a rather quiet and composed person, he just stares.
Do start now and watch with us. It's so much fun! Watching by yourself is so lonely :)
They're lucky to binge watch, but miss out the fun to discuss and speculate with us because at some point, we need to talk about it to erase our worries (like we think there's a love triangle etc) :)
LX always had it bad when it comes to his mom. I resent his mom very much ... She is not normal. I really don't…
Admittedly Ling Xiao's mom has a mental breakdown, and then the accident in which she lost her husband a second time and herself almost paralyzed. Pulling back from that nadir takes a lot of efforts and she makes it. So don't hate her but empathize with her :)

You know, his mom is very relatable. Many parents behave exactly like that without realizing it themselves. If we were parents, I'm not surprised we behave like that too ourselves. This drama is so good because it's playing out all the traits, good and bad, we have in ourselves and magnifying them for us to see. For example, there are many insensitive comments made by those gossipy neighbors and other parents. On the surface, those comments sound harmless, but they can be hurtful. I'm pretty sure we have made similar comments ourselves without realizing it.
I just love this show! But is anyone also already getting annoyed by Ming Yue? I mean it's also Long Xiao fault…
Why do you want to be annoyed with Ming Yue? Have more faith. She's a good and decent person. She'd make the right decision. She's being set up for ....
Everyone is worried about the love triangle and I'm worried about the deadbeat parents returning. Every time Ling…
Yeah, same here. I'm worried about their respective irresponsible families. Though I understand Ling Xiao's mom wants to make amend after all these years, she becomes over possessive as if she has all the rights without regarding other people's feelings. I'm not so worried about He Zi Qiu's father because he's only using the father to achieve his own goal. The only problem is we haven't seen how his step mother is like. Also, his birth mother has disappeared and mysteriously reappeared. We don't know what she's up to. In any case, they're all adults now. They are not helpless as before and no one can force them do anything they don't want to.

No, at this point, it may seem that he has romantic feelings for her, the writers are just teasing us. From what I can see through all the hints available, his feelings are just platonic towards her; he just wants to protect her because he doesn't want her to end up like his birth mother. Everything is very sweet. I think if she ends up with the 'big brother', Steven's character would be very happy and relieved. He's going to find his own love, like his sister's best friend.

That's a pity dropping Go Ahead. It's been pretty obvious from the beginning that her neighbor brother loves her romantically and she also has a different kind of love for him, not like how she loves the 2nd brother. So, we've expected this to develop when they become adults. It's still a very good and fun watch. Waiting between episodes, you may want to pick it up again, I'm just suggesting :)
Ling Xiao took 2 years off from college because he needed to take care of his mom, so he graduated in the same…
Yep! He feels a duty to take care of his birth mother even though she abandons him. This is very relatable because many people, especially the Chinese, find taking care of their parents, no matter what has happened, their duty.
