Good call, but you might regret it. On the other hand, save yourself tons of tears and angst, like many of us…
Nope, you're absolutely right. That's the irony of the whole thing. We love the FL, we also kind of love the ML when the two are together and the ML didn't remember what he had done. Our discussion here is, we try to find some kind of justification that the ML can have to redeem himself so that he is deserved to be loved by the FL (and hence the viewers). It's hard. He doesn't seem to deserve any love at all, not even from his concubine, SeSe (who most viewers hate).

Nah, I don’t think the teacher pretending to be her lover is worse. The crown prince is the one who really played…
Yep! Power and money blind one's eyes. No matter how one may start with a noble aspiration in the beginning, many succumb to the temptation of what money and power can offer.

As far as writing a book, I'm a romance buff who loves "happily ever after" endings. So my book would have been the Cinderella/Snow White kind of endings, which would be super boring in this time of age, and I doubt anyone would want to read it.

I'm at episode 10 rn... the amount of angst is no joke. I honestly cannot think of a scenario where I will EVER…
How you feel is exactly how I felt after I watched episode 10. But slowly I grew to empathize, sympathize and love them both. It's ironic, but that's how it is with our twisted emotion, successfully "manipulated" by this drama. For me, I love the 1st male lead, but at the same time, I curse him and want to strangle him. Sigh! I know I've been had by this drama but can't help myself but keep watching it.

May I ask, are the leads in this drama faithful to each other? I love all the stills/photos, but am loathe to…
I second @Kim MC. Like many others, both of us are in deep emotional turmoil watching this drama. MyDramaList.com is our goto place to bash those who give us pain. I think you would love as well as hate at the same time with this drama. Certain episodes are painful to watch (painful because the acting is so good), but there are many cute and light moments especially when the female lead is involved. She is one of the best actresses as far as I'm concerned. This is my first drama that I fall for a female lead and hate a male lead, despite how good looking he is.

We don't know how this drama may end, whether it is going to stick to the novel or there will be changes. I'm hoping it was all a dream, and nothing bad had happened to anybody because, as it is, the story is just too painful. I don't think I can move pass this drama if it ends badly, unless some new good dramas come to air right after.

I love General Pei too. He's the typical obedient, piety type of person, who would obey his superior blindly, right or wrong. He's the type of men, in my opinion, most women should marry to, and he would ensure taking up all the burden of the household and protect his family with his life with no question.

Bad as we are as women (I'm assuming you're one), we tend to fall for the bad boy type of men. We seek adventure, unconformity, flamboyance, sweet talk, even just for a moment of pleasure, from men who don't deserve to be loved, bringing ourselves heartache, pain and betrayal.

How LCY's character is being portrayed , is not a far-fetched portrayal of many powerful men to this day since ancient time in both eastern and western societies. We can see it clearly as a third party, and yet many still fall for disastrous relationships.

lmao GJ is so pathetic, manipulating XF to believe GXW is him at her weakest state
He just wants her to love him back, albeit just a little bit :(

I'm so glad I came to read the comments on my third episode, I'm gonna drop this drama before it's too late lmao.
Good call, but you might regret it. On the other hand, save yourself tons of tears and angst, like many of us are suffering now.:(

Title The Legends
Me, first episode : Ugh. Seriously not my type. Too much CGI, normal plot but still will give it a chance till…
Absolutely agree with your thoughts. I went through the same journey. Like many comments under this thread, I'm also watching "Goodbye My Princess". This drama, "The Legends" is my antidote for "Goodbye My Princess". Without this drama, my heart dies with "Goodbye My Princess" which is so painful to watch.

Yes, due to that pendant.
yes, and many small little details of her that he recognizes. He is a gentle, attend-to-details guy. Girls, this is what you want to find in your men.

Uhm, it’s on her neck, the face of the pendant is hidden inside the wooden (plastic) circle necklace she wears…
He didn't do it on purpose; he didn't realize its power initially. He later told her about it, but she refused to take it off; she wanted him to feel her heart and know what she was thinking.

I honestly don't know. I want a tragedy for LCY but my heart aches for XF. They both could have lived happy lives…
I second. I think @cupcakemish can right all the wrongs and give us back our heartaches and tears. Dang! This drama gives me so much turmoil within. Need something lighter for my next drama. This is too taxing for my health.

yeah, but so far, I don't think he is the remorseful type, whether he remembers or not. He doesn't seem to have a conscience.

Title Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
Looking at episode 45 to 48 at least the crown prince has memory loss, what does A’du and her teachers has to…
What is so despicable of him is, before he lost his memory, he sounded remorseful when he was with XF, but 180 degree changed and became scheming when he was outside of her hearing. Until today, I still can't feel he regrets what he did, or if he can start over, he would still choose the same path, ie. decimate the whole DanZhi tribe.

You know, with all the angst that this drama has created, I think your ending would make me super happy.
Hahaha! I'm in the early spring dream myself.

On Good Bye, My Princess Mar 23, 2019
The ending I'm hoping for: It's a mid-summer night dream by the 9th Princess, Xiao Feng, on the steppes. Everything turns out to be fine; no one dies. She and her new flame, Gu XiaoWu, who turns out to be a prince, live happily ever after. Dang! I know this will not be it.
