On Ever Night Season 2 Jan 13, 2019
Both Arthur Chen and Dylan Wang exude very different personalities and aura. Arthur comes off as a big boy, innocent, and a bit uncertain of himself at times, whereas Dylan gives the feeling of a true bad ass kind of guy, fearless, mean and angry. Depending how the director wants to portray the actual Ning Que, I feel we all should give Dylan a chance. After all, after 2 years later when Season 2 debuts, we may all accept a new look of Ning Que as Arthur's face begins to fade in our mind as Ning Que.

Just finished the whole drama. I'd say the last 10 episodes are quite a let-down and the final episode a complete disaster. The story tried to build up to the climax in the last episode, but it turned out to be an anti-climax instead. There's no catharsis, and with plenty of loose ends. It gives me the feeling that the director(s) couldn't wait to pack up and dismiss everybody by the last episode. Arthur Chen portraying Ning Que was not convincing enough though I adore him greatly. No wonder the rating went down from a 9.5 (or something) to the current 8.9. I believe many viewers share my experience.

Title Ever Night Spoiler
Just finished the whole drama. I'd say the last 10 episodes are quite a let-down – with the last episode a complete disappointment. I’m not talking about the ‘death’ of Sang Sang (whom I know would come back in Season 2). I’m talking about the building up of the whole story to the climax, which was very disappointing and, as I see it, a rather anti-climax, instead. There’s no epiphany; the greatest antagonist was actually not ‘that bad’ a person, and Ning Que didn’t kill him, but he terminated himself; overall, we have not experienced a catharsis. Even though there is a Season 2, normally, good dramas should end with no loose ends, and there are plenty with this drama. No wonder the rating went down from a 9.5 (or something) to the current 8.9. I believe many viewers share my experience.

is this worth to watch as Ashes Of Love?
I would say so if you like Chinese wuxia and calligraphy. The story is pretty interesting. The scenes are beautiful, especially the fighting scenes - they look authentic. The actors are good, despite young Arthur Chen being less seasoned, but he is truly a heartthrob.

Great story and cinematography however the ML is a terrible actor and the FL looks like a pre-pubescent girl.…
Haha! Agree! Let's look at the bright side: the ML is super handsome, and the FL is super cute, especially when she smiles!

he's rude and arrogant it’s also maybe because of the way he grew up always trying to survive and killing, it's…
I believe Arthur tried to portray Ning Que's panicky mood when he realized Sang Sang may leave him, but I think Arthur over killed a bit, making him look rude and arrogant, or maybe the Director intended him to be so? I also cannot fathom the logic that he beats Sang Sang right in front of her parents and they let him. My parents would have killed him if he had done this to me.

As far as I'm concerned, yes, if you like fantasy and Chinese wuxia stories in beautiful historical costumes. This is one of the better Chinese dramas that I've come across so far.

Yeah, agree. For a 17, he's pretty good. He has the physique of a 20 something though. Nice and tall (6'3"), and super good looking.

At first I was disappointed that Arthur Chen would not act in season 2 of this drama. Now, I think maybe it's best. After watching more than half way through, Arthur really lacks the experience of a more seasoned actor. His facial expression is definitely not up to grade, despite his good look. Let's hope season 2 would give us a more convincing Ning Que.

Sigh! How should I describe this drama? Well, I really enjoyed the 1st part: the acting was good, the story was interesting, the pace was just good. Then the 2nd part was, like, ... stuffing, just to make up the rest of the episodes. The screen writer seemed to have become over-creative, and rendered the drama hard to watch. There were holes everywhere. The characters' personality was inconsistent. I almost wanted to give up this drama. Fortunately, it is not too long to complete the whole thing. I can only give it an overall 7 stars.

Sorry, I don't. I haven't read the novel. I don't know if it's available in English either.

What the xxxx! It's become a vampire story at Ep 45. I like fantasy, but this is getting a bit too much and becoming kind of ... incoherent!

Love this drama. I stumbled across this drama, and found the story interesting and cute. It makes you feel good, and doesn't frustrate you like others, even when the male lead and female lead lost each other. You may feel sad for them, but not like, painful. There are many sweet little moments and kindness abounds.

I watched up to 50 episodes. I don't think I can continue anymore. Each time, instead of joy, I feel like vomiting blood! I believe the original novel was good. Just that we have a poor screen writer, who, in my opinion, may have rewritten the novel. Everything feels wrong and unnatural.

I feel like strangling someone every time I watch this. Everything just goes round and round. It's so boring. I like the actors, but this drama really damages their credentials. The story is bad, and the scripts are worse. Everyone seems to have some kind of mental issues.
