> Concept started off really good tbh. No one actually wants to stay with one person that long idc if that…
If someone only defines love by initial butterflies, then yeah, the rest of the relationship is going to feel empty. But in reality, what comes after the spark (I like you) is a more grounded love - I respect you, I trust you, I want to build my life with you. It takes actual effort, but it leads to a deeper partnership.
I saw people speculating about the promo posters (Namgung looking at Mido, Sml looking at Mido, Sfl looking at…
I think she fights for her carrer because if she has that done she would feel better in a relationship. So it's like it is more important to take care of at her stage of life.
Am i the only one who thinks that no emotional infidelity is happening here as of now? The way that the way sml…
I think people use different definitions of emotional cheating or call by emotional cheating any care and interaction with a person of opposite sex, which it is not.
i think the fact that Mido is thinking about Namgung when she watches the snow, is not a sign that she loves him…
I agree with you on the snow part, I also read it as if she has regrets. But I do not see enough evidence she doen'st love him yet. I guess, we have to keep watching.
There is this show that I really like called You and Everything Else - it's about friendship. I could say that oh yeah one character was just a terrible friend, which would be true, but also disservice to her character from my side because there are reasons for that even if some do not make sense to me personally.
Mido is not just unsuccessful, she is clearly talanted, principled, shaped by bad luck and her stubborness and love to ML. I can go on, but I think we just have different perspective and it is ok.
I think we fundamentally disagree on definitions. When a character is genuinely raw and complex, their flaws come from recognizable human psychology rather than just a writer needing to manufacture drama.
Stereotypical and childish to me is the icy CEO, the jealous ex, the plucky but naive lead, act petty, or miscommunicate simply because the plot needs them to, or make the exact same immature mistakes without any change. In a character-driven drama, I expect the characters to be frustrating, and I expect the drama to take the time to peel back those layers.
I am not saying this is perfect show, it is also too early to tell. But I am saying that I am enjoing watching their journey.
I am watching this after The Early Spring, and both dramas show more raw, real, flawed, and complex people. I really like this shift. I appreciate having something to think about while waiting for the next episodes, especially seeing the complexity of human interactions and the emotional weight they carry. In real life, I do not know a single relationship that is K-drama perfect. Life is complex, and I love seeing that reflected on screen.
I don’t see all that malice either… or the intention to woo her.He might be leading her on as a consequence…
I also feel his intentions have not been romantic so far toward the SFL. However, their interactions are filmed in a very interesting way, like a romantic scene from a drama with slow-mo and everything, but without the pounding heart sound. Very funny :)
Also, I do not get it. Do people think that if you are in a long-term relationship you cannot have friendships or connections with other people? One person cannot be everything to you. Life is long. Your partner is someone you choose each day, but you can laugh, share stories, and have some adventures with friends, family, or coworkers without making it dramatic. Basically, there is a difference between close friendship and emotional infidelity, where second one is built on deception, replacement, defensiveness and putting up a wall between you and your partner. I do not see ML doing that.
The thing is fl has not shown any interest in sml but it's kinda opposite with ml and sfl...ml is leading on sfl
I kind of feel he is very warm and giving person because he didn't get enough warmth as a kid and then did from some Mido family, So he tries to give it away. Saying which I wonder if his actions are a combo of that warmth and brotherly protection rather than any feelings to sfl.
hm your post shows you failed to register what the drama is EXPLICITLY showing and saying - for example the scene…
So I've read your comment 2 times and still do not get what I failed to register. Maybe that is something that I failed to register as well, but oh well let me live in this rosey world thinking that I see two non ideal people on screen who deeply care for each other and trying to non-ideally get over bumps in their life.
well....whatever she is, she is literally the only one on his side....and he is already an insecure person....because…
I understand, I just think that with time you start getting right from wrong yourself even though it still takes time and some people break our of this parent conditioning in their 30s or 40s or even 50s. But still 10 years later at what around 28, he should be able to think more for himself compared to when he was 18. So from my side it looked like no emotional growth happened to Pi O.
I don't feel bad for Kang Pio. Moreover, I find it like PiO is more alike of his mother. Firstly, he got the music…
The fact that he lied 10 years after his friend helped him (a friend who, for all he knows, could be dead) is so sad. To me, it comes across as a lack of emotional growth and a lot of entitlement
