Title When the Stars Gossip Spoiler
I don't care at all about the "cheating" (which hasn't happened yet) but I do care about what a selfish dumbass…
I was so angry when Gong Ryong deliberately started a fire, like holy shit dude, did it not occur to you that you might kill everyone on the ship including yourself? Plus he damn near did kill Eve because everyone was distracted by the fire and not paying attention to the spacewalk.

Also when he kept saying my eggs, dude, they're not yours! How self absorbed can you be?

Don’t tell me you’re condemning cheating just because it’s done by the main characters. Sleeping with someone…
Crash Landing On You! He had a fiancee who loved him and he treated her like shit and got into a relationship before breaking off the engagement

literally. put a man in power and all of a sudden he forgets all that you’ve done for him 😭 I feel so bad…
Thank you for that link, that was fascinating. I had no idea the government kept such detailed records.

Very cool seeing how they filmed the weightless scenes, thanks for that!

I thought it was a really strong first episode. Super weird and funny, Lee Min Ho & Gong Hyo-jin most def have chemistry, the cast is STACKED (won't spoil the cameos) and it has lots of CGI and bizarre fantasy sequences 🏊‍♀️🐬👶

I've never been into LMH but after this episode I think I finally get why people go so crazy over him. He was a hilarious dork yet somehow also sexy. I've only ever seen GHJ playing weak female leads so it was great seeing her play a badass. I like that she obviously worked out for the role and that they put gray streaks in her hair to show that she doesn't care about appearances. Before the show aired I was having trouble imagining them together but after the toe scene I've got the vision.

I loved the trio of eommas and seeing Oh Jung Se buff and playing an alpha male for once (very different from Mr. Plankton).

I laughed a lot but there were definitely spots where the pace dragged because of the back stories and introducing the huge cast. Hopefully it will pick up now that we've gotten all that out of the way.

I don't like infidelity either. I haven't seen this drama yet. what happened?
There's no infidelity, it's that the two leads are in relationships with other people so everyone assumes they will cheat when we have no idea what's going to happen with the plot. It's ridiculous.

i've seen comments about cheating in this drama (I haven't watched it), so how is it?
There was no cheating in the first episode and I'm not convinced there's going to be any in the show. This comment section is wild 😅

Fight scenes were great but there was zero character development and Jang Hyuk felt like he was sleepwalking through the scenes that didn't involve swords. I've seen him in many other dramas and I know he can be great so not sure what happened here. Part of the problem is the film is very short. Not the worst but not great either.

I wish the entire drama had been focused on Bang Won. I didn't care about the three leads at all but Jang Hyuk stole every scene he was in, especially when he has a final conversation with his father before unleashing hell.

Interview with the author of Love in the Big City https://m.koreatimes.co.kr/pages/article.asp?newsIdx=384869

"I didn't dare to think about making huge changes in people's perceptions (with the series). It was more like just opening a door and stepping out. If there was a heavily closed door, I just hoped that this work, with the love story that was previously much untold, would receive a lot of love and empathy," Park said during an interview with The Korea Times at a cafe in Jongno District, Seoul, Wednesday.

I really want to talk about Kim So Yeon: Gorgeous, Amazing, Baeksang Daesang Winner... This woman is a living…
She was fantastic in Tale of the Nine-tailed 1938. Her chemistry with Lee Dong Wook was amazing, she handled the comedy and horror no problem and she looked stunning in vintage clothing

Now why are the ratings so low? The drama is such a fresh of air amidst the current mediocre dramas.
There's some weirdos on MDL who've been in a lather over tOo MuCh SeX iN dRaMaS and I bet they're bombing the ratings.

I'm not a fan of makjang but I decided to watch this for Jang Hyuk and holy shit he was on fire in this. He had chemistry with everyone, Boo Cheon, Jang Gook Hwan and especially Jung Mal Ran/Lee Mi Sook. It was so twisted and fun to watch them try to seduce each other. The FL was a boring mannequin and the plot was ridiculous but if you turn off your brain this drama is a lot of fun.

What I like more about the Chinese version: more time spent showing us how the family came together and how the siblings bonded (the advantage of more episodes). I also like how feisty the FL is and I'm surprised the Korean version softened the character. The FL's best friend is also funnier and more likeable in this version.

What I like more about the Korean version: the show is signaling very early on that San Ha's doesn't see Ju Won as a sister (he literally says "we're not a family") which takes away the creepy pseudo-incestuous vibe that the Chinese original had once the romance started. Also, Hwang In Youp is a much much much better actor than the Chinese ML. The actor playing the 2ML is a cutie who looks like Park Bo Gum.

What I like about the same in both versions: the fathers and their relationship though I find it hilarious that the Korean version leans into them behaving like a couple.

Almost amazing but I felt like it would've been even better without the romance. I like Blackthorne and Mariko…
They didn't have chemistry so I wasn't invested in the love affair at all. But agree they were both compelling as individuals, especially Mariko
