Title No Gain, No Love Spoiler
Serial? No
There is a murder crime thing unfortunately but it doesn't take up too much time

Was their age gap the same in the show as in real life?
In real life Shin Min Ah is 40 and Kim Young Dae is 28. The characters were 33 and 26.

I'm going to rate this drama an 8 but I really wish I could rate the first half a 9+ and the second half a 7. The last episode is a 5. It's a damned shame because when it was cooking it served up a badass FL, a unique main romance, incredible comedy, women enjoying sex and a social critique of women in the workplace. I hate when dramas crap out in the end. I'd still rate this my third favorite 2024 drama after The Atypical Family and Will Love in Spring.

I loved NGNL very VERY much but other than hoping the leads had more screentime together in the last ep, the only…
💯💯💯 that upset me so bad. Hae-yeong got screwed over by Fuck-gyu and everyone pretended it didn't happen.

Great start, good middle, mediocre last chunk tbh.
I think you're mostly right but even the last two episodes had good moments like the dildo fight and the funeral (I've had to plan funerals and I found that whole sequence touching and realistic). Too bad the show didn't quite stick the landing.

I think the poly sister is going to bring up her kid without a father and everyone is going to band together to help her raise the child the way Hae-yeong's mom helped so many foster children. Let's see if I'm right.

is this a good show to watch with pre teens? no explicit scenes or dialogue?
Aside from the sexual innuendo and jokes, I think preteens would be bored watching this. It's about adult relationships and workplace issues

So, what’s the big deal of him not telling her he was fostered by her mom? Would she not remember? A little…
I think the reason Ji Uk hid being a foster from Hae-yeong is because her mother wasn't supposed to take in any more foster kids after her father was killed but she took in Ji UK because he had no other place to go. He probably promised HY's mother that he wouldn't let anyone know he was her foster and as we've see he's paranoid about breaking promises to parents.

I like the way he reacts to her when she's being a lunatic, it's very fun

Can someone who's neutral let me know if the main leads have chemistry? I'm not talking about their characters,…
Yes I think they have chemistry but not as much as some other couples. Don't expect what you saw in Lovely Runner. I think their best moments are when they're bickering with each other. She has loud yang energy and he has chill yin energy. If you're into that dynamic you'll enjoy it.

I felt very differently. I kept getting annoyed with the ML deciding, over and over again, to hide critically…
It occurred to me that Ji UK and Gyu Yun have a similar flaw which is giving in too much to parents/grandparents. Ji UK probably promised Hae-yeong's mother he wouldn't tell her he was a foster because she took him in after her husband was murdered by Ja-yeon's father. I still think his behavior overall is way better than his hyung's and he's more mature too.

I haven't seen him learn anything yet, he mostly seems sorry he got caught

I would bet money that Ju UK ends up running the orphanage with funding from Gyu-hyun

The writing is better in NGNL. I enjoyed Lovely Runner for The chemistry between the leads but the time travel plot was a mess

34-year-old men with enormous power can't blame mommy for their bad behavior. Bok Gyu-hyun is responsible for everything he's done and he should be working his ass off to make it right but instead he's whining as if he's the victim. Feh. That's why Hae-yeong telling him off was so gratifying. I think the only reason BGH is at all tolerable is because the actor is incredibly charming. But he's written as a giant man-baby. This is my only major complaint with this drama.

bruh she was so supportive what are you on abt
The scene where she comforted him on the bed and said she felt sorry because she didn't know what he was going through and wasn't able to help him. I don't know what people expect from her.
