Yes, honestly it's so annoying. i just wanna know what others think about this drama.. but ended up get angry…
Yes you should start it, it's hella fun, the writing is sharp, the comedy is landing, the leads have chemistry, there's some light social commentary about how women get treated in the workplace and there's a group of foster sisters supporting each other which is unusual to see in dramas.
The reason why people are being assholes is because the FL drinks, smokes, swears, has sex, buys condoms and is obsessed with money and keeping score in her relationships. Some people (i.e. misogynists) can't handle a flawed FL with agency over her sexuality and they're freaking out.
also a few people have asked about why marriage is criticized both well meaning ones and the disgusting misogynists.…
Not only does she fuck, she demands orgasms and people are being critical because they think she's being mean to a man with erectile dysfunction which is a wild conjecture because the show never says that, what she's doing is calling out the guy's selfishness in getting off without regard to her pleasure. And that's a fantastic thing to see in a drama.
I don't get the complaints about this drama being tropey when Lovely Runner, Queen of Tears, Marry My Husband and My Sweet Mobster exist. This show isn't anywhere near the worst example of tropiness and it's playing with the tropes in a fun way.
i didn't watch any drama sites for about a month and today I've found that pop-ups are sooooooo bad on all of…

1. The king and queen's love scene showed the intimate affectionate nature of their relationship.2. The lesbian…
I feel like your explanation of the scenes is more compelling than what we were actually shown in the drama. But thank you for putting that together, you make good arguments here.
So basically in ep 1 the king (through the licking scene) wanted to spread the rumour that his relationship with…
Thank you for explaining that because I completely missed the context and could not figure out why that scene was in there other than to throw in a gratuitous sex scene. I still think it's dumb but at least now I understand why it's there.
eul pal so told the king to make the queen distance herself from the king or sumn to protect her from his enemies…
"But above all, director just want to make it like the Asian Game of Thrones 😂" YEP
Two scenes later we see him tell her to abdicate because she's in danger and he will help her escape. So the whole licking scene was completely gratuitous and made no sense. Bad, stupid writing.
Some people here loving it because of nudity and some people are hating it because of hating it it's really hard…
I think the writing is weak and even though the production values look expensive the visuals are kind of dreary. If you took out the sex this drama wouldn't hold up on its own as a compelling story. I do think the actors are strong, esp Jeon Jong Seo and Ji Chang Wook. But you should check it out for yourself. If you were a fan of Game of Thrones you'll likely enjoy it even though it's way less intense than GoT.
I like this comment. You are not attacking anyone and expressing in a healthy way.The fight in the comment section…
In the early 2000s there were a lot of dramas with implied sex. Dalja's Spring, My Lovely Sam Soon, Coffee Prince, I Do, I Do, Scent of a Woman, Hotel King, Reply 1997, Fated to Love You, Hogu's Love among others. But then a conservative government came into power and imposed new broadcast standards on the country. So if anything the newer dramas coming out with implied sex are a return to what was happening in dramas 10-15 years ago. The chasteness was artificially imposed. The Korean public wants to see this content.
As I feared after watching the trailers, the screenwriter took a lot of liberties with the historical facts, and…
I'm not a sageuk fan but a lot of it just felt very silly and pointless. Like the orgy scene in EP 1 that was supposedly to protect the Queen but did absolutely nothing, a few scenes later he told her to voluntarily step down and he would help her escape, that makes way more sense but then you don't get a sex scene out of it ( I'm not offended by the sex and nudity but it was just dumb)
I was about to start this one, but my goodness, these tropes are so bad... and the childhood connection one makes…
It's kind of tropey but there's also a lot that you don't usually see in dramas. The female lead drinks, smokes, swears, is obsessed with money, has lots of sex and even buys her own condoms. The drama touches on inequality at work and how single women are discriminated against. Also there's a really funny trope subversion at the end of the second episode.
