Agree with everything you wrote. I just dropped Love Next Door and you are so right, it's a drama where not a single moment feels authentic and no one speaks like a real human being. Meanwhile No Gain, No Love is super sharp and funny with vivid characters and social critique but served up with tropes we love.

I think weddings are cheaper in Korea, they only last a couple of hours and usually they don't do a huge meal, you rent your wedding dress, you generally don't have a band or a DJ, it's just a different wedding culture there

I'm enjoying this show for what it is but I can't blame people for being disappointed. They expected a romance and instead they got a workplace drama. That doesn't make them shallow, it's just a mismatch between expectations and what's been delivered

💯💯💯 all of the characters are underdeveloped but especially Jane, I thought we were going to get a story about him aspiring to be a film director and being frustrated with his job but we got nothing and we don't know anything about him other than he has a poster over his desk for his favorite film. Since he went to school with Judy it would have been great to have a conversation between them discussing the interns but we got zero.
