The two families will somehow combine their superpowers and grifting expertise to save Gwiju's life. I can't see the show leaving Ina an orphan after everything she's been through. But after the shock of how episode 10 opened I feel like honestly everything is on the table
Dong Hee and Grace will fly together like Superman and Lois (or I will riot)
Grace will interrupt Dong Hee's wedding, wrist grab her and drag her away (or I will riot)
Lovemaking scene between Gwiju and Dahae? Please? π€
I wish I had a prediction for how the show will treat the two mothers. Most Kdramas show leads reconciling even with terrible mothers so I don't think they will be cut off but I also don't know exactly what their places in their families will look like at the end.
This is a healing drama. You can theoretically have a healing drama with leads dead at the end but I don't see it happening here. I think happy ending for everyone.
But we will cry buckets before we get the happy ending πππ
So how is the drama? (I haven't started it yet... waiting for it to finish & then decide)So it isn't anything…
Yes but also something you haven't mentioned that makes the whole thing fresh and unpredictable. For instance a lot of people hate the FL for reasons you'll find out if you watch.
so is he going to die saving her? πwhich why the poster has also fire on his side disappearing or its just…
I noticed the poster too and I'm freaking out. We also still don't know who is the bottom center person on the other poster (it looks like Gwiju but the hand looks like a woman's hand)
Colors and quality looks weird or it's just me? π I'm honestly curious, maybe it's my wifi fault
It's not just you, the color grading and lighting are really bad. I didn't notice it on the first watch because I was enjoying the performances but after reading your comment I rewatched and wow, it's things like people's faces aren't lit properly, the color grading changes with POV changes in the same scene and there's even scenes that look a little blurry like they over applied a filter. It's too bad because I really enjoyed the first episode but I hope this improves, it's seriously distracting.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the first episode! I hated Thai Cherry Magic so I was wondering if this was going to be another Japanese adaptation that missed for me but I really like the changes they made to the characters. It would be weird if Fourth attempted to act like Aoki, instead he's giving cranky dork and that works for me. Gemini is a much better actor than the actor who played Ida, the character's kindness and decency is really coming through. The only cast member I don't like is the girl who plays Mudmee, I don't think she's anywhere near as good as the girl in Kieta Hatsukoi who was one of my favorite characters.
ETA: Adding this to my comment from a reply I made below: The one big thing I disliked in this episode was the cinematography. Chun Woohee shared her closing thoughts towards the ending of The Atypical Family.
Chun Woohee, who embodied Do Dahae said:
"I think you will enjoy the remaining journey if you focus on whether each character can achieve their wishes. Whether Do Dahae can truly make a family, whether Bok Gwiju can go back to the past and save Do Dahae, whether the Bok family and the sauna scam family can achieve their happiness and goals, please watch as they all face reality and undergo changes."
She added, "Thank you for being with The Atypical Family and loving it. I hope it remains a memorable work that resonates with you for a long time. We often regret the past and worry about the future, losing this moment now. I sincerely hope you enjoy the present moment and always stay healthy and peaceful." π₯Ί
Gwi Ju's mom saw a bodyless funeral and assumed it's for Gwi Ju bcz he gets blown away in that school. They could've…
I don't think he's going to die either but it's not that easy to check a death that took place 13 years ago. What excuse could they give? He's still alive today but I think he's going to die in the fire, can you give us the DNA sample to check (assuming the police or coroner even kept a record, there's dozens of unidentified bodies every year in major cities)
does anyone have any underrated drama recs similar to this which you found really good? (I think I have seen most…
If you're open to BLs, Be My Favorite has time travel, flawed characters and a lot of emotional growth. It's severely underrated because a lot of fans were unhappy with the actors being paired up together and it's a shame because it's a truly wonderful drama.
Watched all 10 Episodes, This is a wasted potential , Great theme and premised ruined by not so interesting scenes…
One observation: the reason for the fat suit is because the character's weight fluctuates a lot over the course of the drama and that wouldn't be possible to achieve by simply hiring a bigger actress.
