seems like i'm among the few people who didn't get 2nd lead syndrome. guy had several chances but blew it so i…
SAME, I loved Proctologist-nim, he was funny and endearingly weird and kind. Plus he was there for Da-eun at her lowest moment, literally saved her life and stood by her as she healed. Meanwhile, the 2ML told her to go ahead and die when she expressed suicidal thoughts. He was too immature to be in a relationship with her.
I see people say they see JDY as the ML because YWJ didn't have as much screentime as JDY with PBYwhat I think…
Maybe it's because of my age but I never saw JDY as a real romantic interest for Da-eun. He was too immature and the way he tried to help her with depression was so wrong. I think the real reason people weren't on board with YWJ is because he was quirky/odd and had a job that grosses people out. But he was kind and funny and unafraid to share his thoughts and emotions even if they were a bit embarrassing. He was willing to openly pursue Da-eun the minute he realized he had feelings for her vs. JDY being too scared to say anything for years. And he was there for her in her darkest moment and continued to be there for her after she left the hospital.
The random change of course for nurse Min at the end felt so out of place and so "Netflix's touch" to send their…
I kind of liked it because she spent all her time taking care of her family and being a nurse made her a caregiver but she didn't like it so leaving to do something lighthearted and fun was a good ending for her character, she broke away and while she's still with the doctor she didn't make her world revolve around him. But it wasn't in theme with the rest of the drama. Maybe a better ending in a different story.
Does this have romance? And if does, who's the ML? I don't mind spoilers so feel free to tell me 😉
Yes to romance but it's minor. It's a love triangle but not intense. The ML is the doctor/proctologist. A lot of people got SLS from the 2ML who is her best friend.
well i am completely new to this one can someone tell me the good points for this one ?
Great characters and performances, mostly accurate portrayal of mental illness, focus on real issues affecting people who suffer from mental illness and their loved ones. When it's working it can be incredibly painful to watch because you care about these people and seeing them suffer is really hard. The downside is that it's a bit clunky in the first 2 episodes as they are setting up the premise and educating people about how the hospital ward works. It improves a lot in ep 3 and becomes outright amazing in eps 6-9.
"why did two men rent a swan boat? don't you feel stupid?" (episode 3, 41:30)"this isn't a good look for two grown…
You're touching on a big reason I was always Team Proctologist-nim and it's that he was never embarrassed by himself. And because of that he was able to be kind and generous and supportive to Da-eun. The 2ML was very cute but also very immature.
I had mixed feelings about this kdrama. I found it a bit tightly wrapped. Everyone including the doctors, nurses,…
I think the creators were trying to portray that but not just that. They were also trying to portray that people with mental illness are all around us, they are your neighbors, coworkers, friends and family and because of the stigma they are often suffering in silence. Their misery is invisible.
I think the overall arching message of the show is to have compassion and acceptance for people with mental illness and not to ostracize or shun them. People returning to work and needing support to do that is incredibly common, but what is the alternative? Do we say if you have a mental illness you never get to work again and you should shut yourself away from humanity?
