Hi, might I ask where you are watching it? I watched it eons ago before the orginal sites like kissasian were closed down, it was one of my favorites. Now I can't find it, especially in good quality.
Stereotypes or they have less knowledge about foreign countries culture and people. News/Media playing huge role…
I agree that everyone should do their research. I'm not trying to start a fight, I just noticed that a when there's a stereotype in western shows it usually gets a lot of back lash but not in kdramas. I am from South Africa so I'm trying to look at it as a third person lol :)
What's with Korean dramas making foreigners always look like idiots? It's in so many shows and I'm tired of it. Even my Japanese friend says there's a prejudice/stereotype against foreigners in Asia. :(
Is it just me or in almost every drama they make foreigners dumb or racist? Or they show other countries in a not-so-nice light instead of appreciating different cultures. I have a few asian friends who traveled to different western countries who said they were surprised how nicely people treated them. It's an annoying stereotype a lot of asians seem to have. One of my friends said, "In Japan a foreigner wouldn't be treated as good as they treated me in Poland, sadly we have a prejudice against foreigners." :(
Gosh this drama makes me weep. My parents are gonna die and theirs nothing I can do about it. I also think about how they were like when they were young. Great drama btw.
Ooh really, I think one magazine rated it the best city in the world for 7 years in a row. But I guess that's just based on their personal taste hehehe.
