please I'm so done with the simping of these kdrama men, no one is gonna call you crazy here 😭 he really was hot in strong girl whatever, I saw some scenes and that one where he licks his lips like maniac, hello ???? hi !
and the simping here was wild !! be for real, who acts like that. Honestly I accepted the fact that I was getting too old for the romcom kdramas, we're not teenagers anymore, it's no longer doing it for me 🥲 I prefer grey characters, too much unrealistic green flag and I roll my eyes.
hi ! of course you'd be watching BWS's new kdrama, at least you got to see more of him than during strong girl whatever that was ! so, is he better as vilain in the end ? haha
He really was there as a tool to part the two MC so that we could have the whole "I love you, but wait we can't…
Yeah he was obsessed with her in the first timeline but then she went back and erased SJ's memory and we have no idea about what happend afterward... Apparently she never met him so he never obsessed over her which would have been enough really, no need to erase all of SJ's memory, just never meet the killer and that's it. I don't even understand what was the point of having him come back in the story at the end. But you know, as a precaution they still killed him, ok, whatever. I agree with you, the way they handled their vilain was bad.
He really was there as a tool to part the two MC so that we could have the whole "I love you, but wait we can't…
I stopped watching romcom so I believe you with your exemples but since many people don't really care, well the writers don't either. Good vilains will mainly be find in thrillers for this is the point of the genre. In this case I don't think there was much of a story for the killer, he just fixated on IS and that's it. Some people just kill for the sake of it, no deeper story. But I agree that since he took so much space in the plot, it would have been nice to actually have some depth in his character.
and the villain why is no one talking about it ? -- like they build up so well TO DO THIS !!! man so so so disappointing…
He really was there as a tool to part the two MC so that we could have the whole "I love you, but wait we can't be together, but wait we can, but wait let me save you, but wait forget me". The whole purpose of the vilain is to drive the love story plot, it's always like that in romcom, they never actually do something good with their vilains.
I'm not a fan of the show in the end but even I can see that in its category, that kdrama is probably one of the best for fans of this genre that came out in the last few years. We got the typical romcom ending so if you're fan of this genre you should definitely watch it, I think it's easy going to be in the top 3 of everyone who love this type of cute love stories.
The second part of the show was clearly not as good as the first part for me, a lot of unanswered questions on my part, too much plot holes, a wasted vilain, but well. It's my fault really, I knew I wouldn't like itbecause I'm not a fan of this genre and they don't usually give too much thoughts to anything that isn't the love story in these kind of scenarios. It's clear that the only focus here is the love story but I'm a fan of time traveling plot so of course I'd give it a try :) The chemistry between the two actors really drove the show at first but it simply wasn't enough anymore for me at some point and I had to fast forward a lot of scenes by the end of it. But it's ok, I'm watching a great show right now haha!
Yeah well, the original watch should no longer be on her wrist anymore but since it's not sci-fi and magic and I have to let go of all logic, sure. She said any seasons thought, so she didn't come back to 2023.
Sorry I meant 2009. The year she was on the cliff, that's where the watch would take her back, if one assumes that since she triggered it in 2009 then it's the year she should be send back. It's the only explanation as to how she said that multiple seasons passed in 2023. Why would the watch send her to a futur year that is irrelevant to her time travel ? It also allows her to live her life in the new time-line and not miss out on her niece growing for exemple. But then again, they make their own rules with the TT so she might actually have come back later than 2009, who knows.
I assumed that she came back to 2013, which is the year she activated the first try the second time, and lived from then on. There is no other way for her to be back to 2023 anyway. But assumptions here are worth nothing since the writers do whatever they want. You assume the watch is different in 2013, but from my pov, it's the same watch. There is no reason to believe it's not.
I don't know why everyone always uses the "its just a romcom kdrama" whenever the writing lack, it's not an excuses imo. Why would we lower our standards for kdrama but not for western show? The difference between your examples and this kdrama is that she travels multiple time, it's a central part of the plot that is not explained, so you can't expect me to not refer to what we know about TT. If it's different, then explain it, it's not complicated. I can understand that it's not something that is supposed to be focused too much on, it's just disappointing from my pov that the world building is lacking just because all that is important is the love story. The TT is what brough me to watch it in the first place, I like that trope. There are only 2 episodes left so, we'll see how that goes. At the end it's just my opinion and my sentiment on the whole thing, I respect that it's not that important for other people and that the writers wrote something that's not meant to be looked at under a microscope.
It's not my opinion, it's how time travel has been built in sci-fi until now, using actual physics. In the hypothesis that time travel could exist, you can't disregard the physical laws of our world. Those rules are the one people follow when they write books, movies, show about time travel. Because it should still be somehow logic, otherwise you create paradoxes and plot holes and people are confused. If she travels in the past and changes her own future, that future never happend and she shouldn't be able to remember it. Once she's back in 2023 she should remember her new life, not the previous one. Again, following logic used everywhere else. I don't mind new rules but they should be explained, otherwise we just base our understanding on existing theories. That's why I'm not satisfied with how they wrote things so far. I turned my brain off so far because they decided to go with whatever they wanted to get their impossible romance, cute, not a problem. But the remembering a life that never happend, with no explanation, it makes no sense. And I'll take my words back if they do explain it, but I'm 100% sure they won't.
To be fair its time travel via a watch, I imagine theres some liberties that you can take with the logistics of…
There are enough time travel material today to have something that's not whatever we have here, I agree, it's not that difficult. But even if it was, no one forced them to use that trope 🤷♀️ They just used it to have an circle of romeo and juliet kind of bs and didn't care about semantics.
It would have made more sense if she traveled in body and not in soul but then she's be paralyzed and she would also need to deal with past IS lol
I turned my brain off for the past episodes but the whole remembering things that never happened is my limit haha. It's fine, there are only 2 more episode left.
To be fair its time travel via a watch, I imagine theres some liberties that you can take with the logistics of…
I don't think she is, since it's her soul that is traveling, not her body. If she did, she could have an unlimited amount of chances to save SJ. Except if the watch's power only works once in all time and space but I don't think they thought about that ahead.
OG sol shouldn't be able to remember a future that never happend from her POV just because the future changed. She's in the past, she alters the past which creates a new future and then remember that past from her future self POV, but as long as she isn't back in the future, she should be able to remember it. She also can't remember something that hasn't happend yet and will not happend because she is still changing things. The time traveling here make no sense, it's full of paradox. That's why time travel movies and shows go with the alternate universe route, because it's the only to make changes without creating paradoxes. But here since her soul travels, she altering her own time-line. One that once altered shouldn't allow her to time-travel anymore. When she uses her first chance in 2009 instead of 2023, it creates a huge paradoxe because she is in 2009 because she was using her third chance. That third chance no longer exists from the OG POV. Idk if I'm clear but none of the normal time traveling theories are being respected, they just do whatever they want. And you can created your own rule, but it should still be something we can somehow explain with physic and logic. That's not the case here. The fact that she remembers her 2023 life is impossible if she's not body traveling.
To be fair its time travel via a watch, I imagine theres some liberties that you can take with the logistics of…
Then they should adress it, explain the logic they used because time travel as a theme in cinema follows the same few rules and none of them are respected here. A lot don't make sense and its lazy to just do whatever you want and hide behind "its time travel" with no further explanation. When someone use a different rule because they want to, they adress it because people are not suppose to know how they built their world. for exemple, there is not alternative realities here since her sould travels and not her body, so there should be a paradoxe, adress that. Also time travel with a watch or a machine should be the same, even worse, since her soul travels, there should be no watch in the past, but whatever. I just hate that they think the romcom is more important than the world building.
the whole time travel thing is a plot hole because the rules are not always the same and they didn't even adress them because it's easier not to than to follow 1 logic and stick to it. For exemple, from no time traveling hypothesis that exists can SJ remember things he never lived.

And I fully agree, enemies to lover for the win 🏆
so, is he better as vilain in the end ? haha
