I mean, sure FL can outsmart Harin in her little school tricks, but she's going after someone really powerful in real life. I don't see how she can win against someone with that much influence and money in the society. Except if her parents find a way to get rid of her, there's no way FL can really win with no damage done to her personal life. That's literally how korean society works, if you have money, you have power and if you don't then you're nothing. Just like FL's dad said, hierarchy is everywhere. And sure conglomerates want to avoid rumors and scandal, but that's not enough to bring them down lol.
First of all, I think your comment should have a spoiler tag...People everywhere be talking about Female lead's…
"are you forgetting it's the director that casted both of them???" No ? But there are bad actors being casted everyday so.... She could have been chosen by the queen of england and it would still not have change the fact that she was bad. You are right when you say that everyone else nailed their characters which again make her stand out so much. She had no facial expressions and little range and it was even more obvious when she was acting with the ML who was so expressive.
But well, to each their own I guess, it's all a matter of taste in the end. Still, there's a reason red sleeve has a higher note and a lot more viewers though.
What's so hard for k-drama writers to put as much effort in their ending as they did in the first episodes ? What was that end ?
I honestly watched it because of ML's acting alone. He was absolutely amazing, either he worked hard or he's just really that talented but he trully impressed me. It made FL's acting almost disrespectful because why would she be that blend when working with that much talent in front of her ?
I honestly could not care less about their love story/relationship, it was blend and they had no chemistry. I don't think the writers did a good job when it comes to their feelings growing for each other, it really just came out of nowhere and the acting of FL didn't help at all. ML was working so hard to make it believable but the writing and FL's acting ruined it. We're nowhere near the red sleeve for exemple. I think it's the first time I've watched a kdrama only because of how excited I was for ONE person's acting lol.
I wished they put more focus in the king's plan to fulfilll his brother's last order, it really only came at the end and they brushed it off by adding some line like "I've been working toward this moment for 3yrs" or "all those things that happened was because you wanted to" like ?? why didn't you show us from the king's perspective ?? I love court politics, I would have enjoyed the show better had they actually show the power struggle between the king and his uncle. They only showed the uncle's plans and work and so his demise came out of nowhere. It only happened because of a snitch but they sold it to us as if the king was actively "working" toward that end for years, like ??? Pick a reason.
This season people actually try to talk and "date" other people and they genuinely enjoy it, that's soo untertaining. I know the production team can't predict in advance if the participants will find someone they will like so it's not their fault but this season we got lucky. However, the men piss me off. They just won't let go of the pretty girl despite her showing 0 interest in them. Maybe her not opening up to them (becauyse again, not interested) allows them to still be curious about her ? But like, our girl doesn't want to let you in, go away. I understand HH sending her a message since they cooked together and he didn't talk to anybody that day but KT and DJ went out with a girl, that's so icky of them to send a message to a girl who doesn't even glance at them instead of their date.
I'm so stupid ! Just rewatched it again and I thought Gu was running away at the end when he packed a bag full of cash but he's just using his own money to replace what was stolen by his friend the gambler lmaooo I always thought "oh, where did he disappear to again" but he didn't go anywhere T_T
the story telling is good, but also weak in some other background.i mean jingman is well knowing seller since…
They are all mercenaries, they go where the money go. Once Jinman died and they thought the shop was closed, they no longer needed to follow the "protection" rule. Babylon put a bounty on her head, they followed the money. They were not protecting her out of loyalty but out of obligation. You want to shop here ? You lend your skills to my niece when she needs it.
🤦🏻♀️will there be season 2 ? Because many things were left unanswered.Questions - 1. If jung jin…
1. Jinman coming for Bale doesn't mean Bale wouldn't defend himself. 2/3. Valid questions, unanswered so far. 4. The customers only followed the "protection" rule because Jinman was still alive. Once he "died" they didn't need to follow the rule and be loyal, they could just go for the money Babylon offered. Especially considering the fact that it was not obvious that she would take over. They just thought the shop was done for and so protecting her was just out of the goodness of their heart at this point, so why would they ?
I think he didn't want to train her to much to not impose his lifestyle on her. Bale is his mistake, not hers. He wouldn't have been able to explain her training without telling her about Bale and so what's the point then if she just lives in fear? He probably wanted to give her a normal life and not make her a killer like him. She can fight but she's petite and not strong, there isn't much he can do about that. She can shoot at least. At the end of the day, no amount of training would be enough against mercenaries like Babylon and he knew it.
okay, if there's a season two, then it could go like this:1. we see Pensin taking care of Minhye. She's 100% alive…
I don't think there is much more to add to the story that could justify a second season. All can be put in 2 episodes max, except if they do a mini mini season 2, it would only drag the story unnecessarily. The main story was about her fending for herself while killers try to get her, she did that (with help), that's it. Maybe that's all they wanted to show us ?
I was so afraid that they were going to make Jiahn be really good at killing and fighting despite facing literal killers but they did really well when it comes to her defending herself without it being too much.
Bale was always going to come back and when he did, Jinman knew that he wouldn't be able to take him down while protecting his niece. So from what I understood, the long plan was to have her learn to defend herself + have people back her up for when Bale finally decides to come back. That's why he built the mall. He grew a clientel that, if needed, would put skilled killers in her corner (the customers, who were suppose to defend her when in danger). Of course he didn't planned that they would turn on her when Babylon put a bounty on her head, so them backing off was all her, which is really nice. He obviously could have trained her from the get go but I assume he didn't want to impose his lifestyle and mistakes on her and probably wanted her to have a normal teenage life, without living in fear of Bale.
We all guessed that he was not dead because, suicide, really ? He went off to kill Bale, there is not more to the story I think. Maybe we'll get a season 2 but I don't think there is enough material for it. There is no need for more than 2 episodes to explain his plan and what he did since his fake death. Anything more could drag the story.
I'm also surprise that we didn't get to see Bale at all in the present time. If there is no season 2, the reason might be that the main story was about her chosing her path and getting out (or not) alive from the whole thing. We did get that, so end of the story I guess ? I also wonder why the order changed from "dead" to "alive" when it comes to bringing in Jiahn. Maybe once Jinman took out Bale he's the one who changed the order to make sure they didn't kill her ?
Well that was disappointing. We haven't had a good thriller in a while so I was expecting a lot from this one considering the cast, that's probably on me. It was fine, not great, still watchable, but it won't stick in my memory.
What I like the most in a thriller is the logic. I love smart criminals. I love the reveal of how the killer was able to do this and that and not get caught (at all/earlier). Here they just delegateted it to "luck". Luck is what allows Lee Tang to find guilty people and luck is what allows him to get away with murder. Or superpowers, call it whatever. I hate that in a plots. They used luck a lot in "The glory" which is why I didn't like it as much as other people. I need a story to be well written, for a lot of thoughts to be put in every step that the characters take. I didn't get that here so it's very average to me. I'm in need of another "Mouse" or "The king of pigs" type of kdrama.
Still, the directing was amazing and the actors did an excellent job, great cast also. 7/10
Honestly I love everything about the drama until the last 20 min of ep 10 especially because it made the plot…
Yeah same, they are acting like her having to fulfill her marital duties is not an important issue when it is. You spend 15y thinking you're never going to have to be intimate with anyone and in one day they put a man in your room, I'd be freaked out.
