I really enjoyed the first 12 episodes (until that stupid ending scene with Jung was the sign we had entered clicheland,…
It reminds me of this debate on twitter about the time people waste on books because of booktok recommandations and how people have such low standards that they are happy with the worst written books ever. Then this author on twitter was like "people who are annoyed that stupid simple books are best sellers are so annoying, not everyone wants to open a book and read smart things". A well written structured storyline is the bare minimum but ok.

I'm sorry but the cat analogy? Instead of acknowledging her "making people lonely" problem from the beginning…
I'll correct you! I don't have a problem with her autism but with HOW they wrote the love story. I said in a previous comment that the whole "I make people lonely" part is not at all unrealistic for it can happen to people on the spectrum, right? And she knows that, she even aknowledged it to him. Why didn't they make that aknowledgment EARLIER in the show and then work from there. They brought it at the very end which led to no developement at all. The summary says autist attorney blablabla struggles with social interactions. Why not show that? 16 episodes and they gave us nothing of that sort in their relationship. There clearly are issues, but they either brushed it away or brought it up at the end. It's lost potential. In my opinion, they should have showed us challenges from the get go and show us how she navigates through them throughout the show, to match the whole "struggles with social interactions". It was not shown well enough, mainly because the law cases took so much screen time, but in the case where they can't give proper time to her growth in a relationship, they shouldn't have shown it in the first place.
I don't know, I guess I expected the "social struggles" to be more centric of the stroyline. They gave more time to the cases but even then it was not well done...
In any case I don't want her to CHANGE, I wanted the writers to give her proper time to explore her relationship with Junho and do it in a better way than "his family doesn't love me, I make people lonely, let's break up" at the VERY END.
I hope I explained myself a bit better to you regarding my expectations, but again these are mine alone, so of course someone who did not expect the same things will not be disapointed
(don't mind the spelling mistakes)

lmao if the shoe fits 🤷
The problem is how the relationship was written from the get go, at the end the did with what they had, what else was he suppose to say ?

You're actually on the popular opinion side haha, the show was not well written at all. Neither the case nor the love story nor the side characters.

No but for real ! Even the only time he complained about her behaviour (her only planning dates she likes, precisely because of the lonely thing, she went like "ah.." and then they never talked about it again and in the end he's like "and I love to go on dates where we do only the things you like" ???
0 growth of her character

We understand what he said but it's just unrealistic to react that way like "I have issues" "nah it's fine".

This show has one of the blandest romance I have ever seen in kdramas (and ive seen a lot). Wouldn't have missed…
I'm sorry but the cat analogy? Instead of acknowledging her "making people lonely" problem from the beginning and have them work around it or work to have her change a bit during the entire show, to create a working healthy relationship (with efforts to be made on her side), they just decided to be like "I'm autistic, I make people lonely" "it's fine, I like cat" ????? lmao

Seriously Choi Hyun Jin is a force to be reckoned with! I was blown away with his acting in The King of Pigs!
I know right??? He was spectacular! I can't believe how young he is, to be this charismatic at his age and to deliver that much of a performence. How he made his character appear so strong, so untouchable at first to then show us how much of a child he still is.. I hope he's going to be big one day

That actually put me off. If my man told me loving me was like loving a cat, I would have said, "We're done."…
the way there is this childish aspect of how he sees her is weird anyway

I mean, did we really think they would correct the bad writting in one episode when even well written show have trouble closing their plot properly when they decide to resolve everything in the last episode?
7.5 is the max I'll give to this one
(did I lie when I said the actor for WYW's brother was good? anyway, go watch him in The King of Pigs)

This show followed hometown chacha’s path as it became a boring cheap romance cringefest ever since the FL started…
If they wanted to make the show about her autism they could have done that waaaay better, but it seems like they just add it to the plot to be different knowing their plot is as weak as most kdramas that follow the same trope

100% agree, plot wise, this show is a mess lol.First of all, they handle criminal cases and corporate cases and…
"it just made everyone involved dumb by not looking up the obvious relevant information and laws about them"
Exactly ! especially the senior attorney. How do you have decades of experience and can't solve the case with everything you have learned but a rookie quoting one article of whatever law can?

And yes, every lawyer knows the law, when a case is presented to them, with the little information they have and their knowledge of the law, they know if the party they represent have a winable case or not straight away, they don't win at the very end because they suddenly remember the law. They gamble on being able to find evidence to maybe bend the law their way. It always comes from evidences like you said. Using just the law the way they do is like using pure sirup that needs to be disolved in water. No depth, just "oh article blabla says that so there it is". Sorry but no lol that's not how it works.
It's very childish, very simplified. I guess for people who haven't seen much drama focused on law it must be credible ?

Anybody else have a feeling that for a law drama cases were rather weak and almost all of them revolved around…
100% agree, plot wise, this show is a mess lol.
First of all, they handle criminal cases and corporate cases and civil cases and it's just not realistic? Normally you specialise in one (at least in my country and most countries). For her to know all of the codes and all because of her memory is very good but any lawyer with experience usually know the law they specialise in, since they read and learned the book many times before (especially the senior attorneys) so it's not that much of an extraordinary gift, at least not in the way they are using it. Her gift (perfect memory) was very useful in that one episode where she remembered that one sentence from that one document among all the thousands she received. In Suits (tv show), ML has an extraordinary memory too and most of the time it's of use when they have to remember something one document said among all the others they read. But as for law articles ? All lawyers are aware of them to a certain level. I don't understand the reactions of her collegue whenever she cite one and they're like "oh really? it says that in the law?" like, what? And it was adressed by a few, and yourself, but that's their way of dumbing down everyone around her to make her look smarter and it's no well done imo.

And if you look at all the cases they won, it's either because she thinks of something they haven't thought before that they should have had as competent lawyer (like the road case where at the end she's like "oh wait, hold on, the road is public, that's how we win the case", like really ??) or either because they were lucky that they took on a case that was winable and that through their investigation they realise they picked the right side or whatever. Dumb luck really.

So the law part is weak, the romantic part is weak.... lol

I'm not up to date with the drama yet, But the romance between the FL and ML seems extremely childish? To the point…
Same lol, she acts a bit childish but it's because of her social struggles. That's how she is, but on his end, I don't understand how HE feels considering how she is. + all she ever does is talk about whales and that's it. How do you fall in love with someone with only work and whales to talk about ? What was attractive ? Her childish nature ? It's a bit weird, idk

The way they wrapped up this case was so stupid from my point of view, even a mediocre lawyer like this a-hole…
It's not just this one, even the road one "oh hold on, the road is public" really ?? That's how you win your case ? It took you 5 days to realise the road was public ?
None of the cases are well handled
