It looked more like Gisung slipped as they grappled, no? I'm not convinced that Sooheon pushed him off (not that…
Mark this as spoiler. He didn't push him but no one knows that because no one saw the whole thing, when the other students talked about it they tought he was punishing him and just assumed he pushed him
Ok so the ending was very very very underwhelming! The original plot was very good and they could have done a great thing with it and decided to get lazy for some reason ?
First of all, Chanmi giving her little talk, resulting in JB's plit personality going away is just...laughable. That's not how it works, please what was that lmaoooo. It gave "You're better than this, look at me this isn't you" HAHAHAHA
Call me weird but introducing Sooheon's sickness and going nowhere with it apart for making him quit school at the end was... useless. I thought it was so bold to make a main character in a high school kdrama have a deadly cancer, I really really liked the idea, and it would have been even bolder to have him die. The doctor was so grave like "You'll be dead in 6month, RIP" and then he doesn't die ? boring lol. That little happy ending is just blend. They should have killed him or not introduce the sickness at all.
Had they made 16 episodes, they could have introduced more scenes of the high school students having a "no tell" rule or whatever which could have made more sense for ALL of them to lie. We're talking about a murder here (unless he doesn't die but well, we'll never know). Yeah they were all happy when that bully got expelled but it was not enough imo to have them cover up a murder. The drama was not dark enough for it to happen that way. People are not that close in real life to not say what they saw, only reason they could have lied is if there was a "you talk and you're dead" rule. That could have played even better in Chanmi's brother murder with every kid being like "idk, idc" during the investigation. Them waving at him as he leaves as if they don't dead ass believe he threw someone off of a rooftop ?? lmao wft ??
We were right about Chanmi's brother being gay but honestly the reveal of JB's accident was... disapointing. Idk, I was fully convinced with the idea that Gi osung was in love with JB who was in love with Chanmi's brother resulting in all that mess but the split personality thing was just too much. Classical jealousy plot here could have worked better. Whatever big shock reveal they thought they were doing by announcing he was in love with his sister fell flat, it came out of nowhere and it was boring, bouuh!
I'll pass on everyone getting beat up and never going to the hospital even though internal bleeding is a way more common thing happening than people think + the many plotholes, thethings that were never adressed or things that were useless in the plot but took airing time for some reason.
It was overall a decent drama, clearly not the best in that genre. Especially when it's airing right after Weak Class Hero and The King of Pigs. They could have made it darker.
Good thing the romance between DJ and Minyoung plays little part in the plot because their chemistry is at 0. That also might be why. There were not that many scenes of them so I never warmed up to their relationship. I'm fine with that btw, I'm tired of romance ruining good plots.
The credit card was in HW's name and at the end of the episode we see that right after he exits the bank he get's…
During past HW's timeline DJ didn't exist or supposedly died, there was no trace of him anywhere, no photo no nothing, so it could not have been him. In this "new" timeline, though they co exist, I'm not sure they actually look alike. I think present HW looks different. We'll have to wait and see.
Now i want to see these two together again asap. Why cannot kdramas repeat their pairing more often. ☹️
Fear of being overshadowed by another work maybe ? Or actors and actresses not wanting to be tied to one person for too long in fear it might effect how viewers see their chemistry with other partners? but honestly if a pairing worked really well, it might attract a lot of viewer if we get to see them again. I know I would, I rewatched this one 3 times already T_T
Don't forget to go give The King Of Pigs some attention if you loved Weak hero. It's a bit darker but very similar, no other kdrama can come closer when it comes to similarities (well maybe extracurricular)
Me too! If it wasn't so underrated I wouldn't feel like it but for some reason I'm so proud to see new comments…
I'm watching episode 6 already lmao, I'm sooo hooked! It reminds me of Extracurricular, especially the main character! I don't know if you've seen it but it's also something you might like, the vibe is like a mix between TKOP (especially the anti-hero part) and Weak Hero, though I would say it is as dark as TKOP. I'll update you once I'm finished. So far it's so good, I'm mad I already almost finished it, I should have savoured it T_T The bromance and their fallout is killing me, Shi eun who was so closed off seem to suffer so much from losing Beom Seok. I hope he comes back in the band

I feel the same lmaooo ohhh I haven't heard of weak hero, just saw it now as a rec from this page, if you feel this strongly about it, I'm definetly watching that tonight! I hope I'll love it too, no drama could compare and I was left disapointed on everything this year
even though i have finished this drama, i always visit this page and wonder who said what. i attached it like…
Me too! If it wasn't so underrated I wouldn't feel like it but for some reason I'm so proud to see new comments and more people watching it. The contrary of gatekeeping haha No drama this year made me feel like this one and I got so attached to Kim Chul, I just want more people to feel that too. It's embarassing really to be that attached to a fictional drama lol
Finally gave this one a shot, disapointed with the thrillers this year (apart from the king of pigs). It was very slow at first, it took time to get to the plot so I guess it's a good thing I binged watched it. It was entertaining at first but very predictible and it went sideways real quick towards the ending. The plotholes (or sometimes the poor choice of writing) were too numerous, along with the annoying plot armure of the sisters (no reason for any of them to still be able when fighting a secret society depicted as so powerful). It's still watchable but I wouldn't give it a 8.7 at all.
Both of them are mid, atleast for me. The ending was rushed with both of em and the characters unlikable, but…
The characters are anti-heroes so the unlikable part might be the reason why? As for the rushing I didn't think it was the case for TKOP, maybe the unexpected ending was a bit overwhelming considering what we expected to happen. As for extracurricular I watched it a bit ago so I can't remember the pacing of the ending and can't really give a based opinion. To each their own, but it's cool that it was still entertaining for you :)
I watched it on your recommendation and IT WAS SO GOOOD!!! That show is criminally underrated
People tend to focus more on romance drama so they're the more popular ones. So many people skip very good kdrama just because there is no romance (was literally asked if this one had romance in it by someone in the comment lol). I guess it depends on what kind of drama you are looking for, but yeah people only focusing on one genre result in so many good dramas going under the radar. Also people watch things with actors they know. Since the none of the actor in KOTP were in any BIG kdrama, people would have skipped just because they didn't know the actors

No waaaaay, I'm so happy you took a chance on it and liked it !!! Easily the best drama of the year, it saddens me that so few people watched it ! It's sad we don't get more dramas like extracurricular, mouse or TKOP
