I will say Mo Li is incredible its on par with top dramas for me like Joy of Life and Story of Minglan, you should really give it a chance. Cinematography is amazing, ost, the plot is layered and detailed and mysterious. For me its one of the best cdramas to release this year!
Loved LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED Episode 21, it was so gorgeous. This is why I love historical dramas so much, the decadence, the opulence, the sheer beauty, the hidden political power plays, the martial arts, ugh I love it so much😭. The banquet was so beautiful, I took loads of screenshots. The Princess from Cangbei is stunning and I love her costuming and her head pieces and her makeup and the textures in her outfit, even her attendant looked so wonderful and beautiful, even the carriage was so gorgeous and stunning. And Empress Dowager hanfu loved the colours, the colours actually remind me of Flourished Peony. But genuinely I feel like this drama deserves an award of some sort. LOVE IT.

Exactly, ugh its such a shame, you would be very good at palace politics schemes you've already created a strategy for him. Imo since Mo Jingli is hiding somewhere his best bet is raising an army and killing Empress dowager and her son and Marquis Muyang which is super ruthless...plus where would he even get an army from? Ngl if it was me I would just live out a quiet and simple life.

Most certainly he will fail even though he has better entitlement to the throne. His backstory is so sad as well. Apart from him acting crazy with Ye Li he isnt a bad person. But i dont like Empress Dowager. She murdered (or at least was complicit) in the death of the late crown prince. Who knows what happened to the Emperor. However I cant fault that shes a good Empress if we are being real. Mo Jingli seems weak in comparison
So far I've seen 12 eps of NiF. For context Joy of Life is my all time fav drama and this has always been recommended. Honestly I'm finding it quite slow, I think it doesnt help that my expectations are so high. Does anyone know when it starts to pick up? I feel like i'm still waiting to like it 😕
