I've just finished the first two episodes. Honestly how refreshing, such gorgeous natural cinematography, colours and makeup its truly is wonderful to watch. The plot is also mysterious but they do reveal information in increments. I'm also liking the slower more careful pace, ngl I was worried that a lot of newer dramas were going to follow a more 'mini drama' style of filming, where the plot is thrown at you at break neck speed and there is an abundance of slow motion shots for no reason. Its nice to see a drama that dials it back and allows the plot to unfold like a long form poem. Truly, truly gorgeous. I'd liken the style to dramas like Flourished Peony and Story of Minglan.

I was planning on watching Ashes to Crown first because its shorter but then I saw the trailer for this drama. I absolutely adore the cinematography its dark, moody, rustic and gorgeous, I love the use of colours, I hope we get some pretty mountain imagery too😍
