I'm screaming😂I loved Legend of Zhang Hai though I thought it was brilliant, but the last few eps weren't as strong. I haven't watched Yanxi palace yet, I ended up watching s1 and 2 of joy of life and loved that, now I'm thinking of watching a dream within a dream!

Does the drama get serious or does it remain comedic/satirical throughout? I'm trying to decide if I should continue

The Double is one of the best cdramas I've ever watched, its not a romantic story though so don't go in expecting the characters to be sappy for all 40 episodes, its a revenge story first and foremost, and brilliantly executed imo

I haven't started "season 2" yet because I'm waiting for all the episodes to drop. I absolutely loved the first part, its the first cdrama I've been able to finish (I watched in January) so I'm ignoring all these comments. Sometimes I think people go into a show wanting to watch something very specific instead enjoying the show for what it is, if that makes sense. This also has a slowburn romance, which loads of people don't like, but I personally enjoy. Plus its so gorgeous to look at, I can't think of another drama that released this year that looks as gorgeous.

historical cdramas are on another level so I try not to compare them to kdramas and watch it as a separate thing, I don't know if it that makes sense lol

I'm going to do the same, I skipped through episode 1 but the production quality looks quite old, I think I've been spoiled by all these newer dramas having such gorgeous cinematography. It's weird because there are older dramas that have better cinematography than Princess Agents
