Why did she stop acting? She's so pretty and her performance was great!
Retired due to undisclosed health problem. Totally agreed, had her career not been cut so short, she could've been easily an elite actress by now. Perhaps might've been at expense of a few other actresses of her age group that do make it in RL. I'm old enough to recall she was rated so high by critics back then even from the very start, think the likes of Komatsu Nana/Hirose Suzu/Kiyohara Kaya. Like, a generational talent level.
She announced her withdrawal from her current agency she's affiliated with, as well as retirement from entertainment industry, effective December 31, 2023.
I hope she will still find happiness outside the showbiz and there's no wrongdoings.
Arguably the most memorable among the Fukuoka Ren'ai to date (late 2023). Very heartfelt, informative, and well-acted, especially from Nao as the deaf girl.
Trivia: the university the leads attended (Kyushu Institute of Technology) is a very real university located in Kitakyushu (where the story is set).
I wish Tsurukame Josanin was subbed, touching story and acting. Not to mention she’s really beautiful 😍
Yeah totally underrated and overlooked show, though if it's aired now it might've received barrage of criticism for being a bit too 'politically correct', especially from the international fandom. Still wonder how did she managed to figure out to emulate the gestures of pregnant woman so effortlessly (especially in the last 3 episodes) - mind you, she was still unmarried and had no prior experiences on conceiving a baby at that time of the filming. Brilliant acting IQ.
BTW a bit off topic - if you like Tsurukame, then Lion no Oyatsu is also right up your alley - the same cadence, original material (a novel) was from the same writer too.
Crazy underrated ex-child prodigy virtuoso. I wonder what happened to her that she isn't as popular or at least getting elite projects (like let's say Ando Sakura) as it could've been.
Or perhaps it's her who chose not to soak too much attention and pressure?
