Agree! I enjoy so many of the 'experimental' asadoras even if they're not perfect. Ono Machiko was also such a…
Had she been born 15 years late she'd very likely never be cast to lead any asadora. And her career might very well be stunted and never anywhere reach her potentials. God knows how many talents out there who will never see the light of day due to such outrageous policy.
This asadora is one of the most memorable ones with tons of memorable moments, but the most epic one is the one where Shimatani pinched Kasumin's cheeks in the kitchen lol.
This one and Welkame seem very unpopular with asadora fans. [I guess 2009 was a bad year for asadora lol.] Nevertheless,…
The 2000s in general is full of asadoras like this. Experimental or untested ideas, starred by lesser known actresses and directors/writers who were hungry to prove themselves, that are sadly often underbaked or simply badly executed/underfunded.
Although the 2000s and to lesser extent early 2010s are full of 'failed' and 'experimental' asadoras, I still miss the daring decision to do open auditions for new or under-noticed actresses like Ono to be given chance to prove themselves as the leads. Unlike these days where one has to be already established superstars in order to get the role :(((
I didn't realize she was the kid in kidnap tour with satoshi tsubamuki, good drama btw if you haven't watched…
I feel this comment is 5 years late already lol. Totally agreed with your last verdict and it seems the survivability of child actors, that is, towards more sustained success into teenage and adulthood, has been improved considerably these days as well.
can someone recommend some good series with her ? thanks
Not in particular order: Kenshin Live Action Biri Girl Chuugakusei Nikki Narratage Soshite Ikiru Hanataba Mitaina Koi o Shita Konto ga Hajimaru Joshi Zu Amachan (secondary role in flashbacks but an important one) and if you can tolerate Asadoras (15 min x 156 episodes), Hiyokko
IMO due to her decision to went semi-hiatus (due to Uni) during her breakthrough, it really kill her momentum.…
That make sense. I've read somewhere some years ago that her family is also wealthy. AFAIK Ashida Mana also hails from similar background and is said to be even quite scholastically gifted.
