Everyone else is the same. Only the larger girl changed actresses, because she lost a significant amount of weight.
I know that's why I'm saying it's weird. The chemistry and feel of the drama will be completely off having a different actor for only one of the characters. If they wanted to have this kind of drama they should have changed both of the lead actors after a time skip or just should have had the slim actress wear some sort of fat suit. Changing just her actor is so strange.
I get that there's no way a fat girl would end up with the guy in a Chinese drama. But if they were going to do it like this they should have cast a different actor for the ML when he gets older as well. It's so strange to have a different actress but the same male lead.
The male lead is aggressive, a liar, and possessive to the point of toxicity. He's not a great dude.
He grabs her, picks her up, yells at her, and forces her to do things she doesn't want to do. If you don't consider that aggressive and possessive, then you're the one who needs to reevaluate some things. He is most definitely a liar and knows that his actions are going to hurt the FL. Him doing things for her in England doesn't allow him to treat her however he pleases. I don't like the female lead either however, the male lead is much worse.
Okay so it's not the best written lol it's kind of trashy but it's like my EXACT brand of trash so I'm digging it. It's addicting and the actors are all so good.
Did a bunch of antifans come and vote this down? It was at 8.9 for so long. It's hard to imagine that two years later it would go down so much so quickly.
I absolutely love large families in dramas. I haven't seen The Disguiser, it's now at the top of my to-watch. I would also like to recommend The Story of Ming Lan. It's a historical slice of life type drama with a huge family in ancient China. One of my all time favorites.
