Backaof's really improved the chemistry between Bright and Win a lot and it shows in this episode. The writing is also much more what we'd except from his past BL's. Win's acting is great here as well. I also never listened to it before, but the OST song they play during the closing credits (ยังคู่กัน) is pretty good.
This has unfortunately been extremely boring. I was mainly watching for Peak but the writing is extremely cliche and while I love Peak, he is not naturally athletic and he looks so awkward training and trying to box. I think I might drop it until it finishes and if I hear it ends ok maybe I'll go back and finish it.
I was worried with extending the show to 13 episodes that the quality of writing might be negatively effected, but I enjoyed the latest episode a lot. I love Pearl's personality, can't wait to see her in the spin-off, but I wish Kokoy and Elijah would also appear in that one in supporting roles as her friends.
I freaking love Man and Boss, they have such great chemistry I always find myself cackling when they're onscreen.…
Yeah GMM needs to give Mike and Toptap their own spinoff as leads. And agree 100% about the Mike/Gunsmile friendship! They're naturally funny together.
I sometimes forget Mike has only been acting for 3 years because he's so natural. I love all the scenes with him and Toptap and him and Gun. As of right now I'll watch the next episodes only to see them, and hopefully to see more Frank/Drake (praying that their storyline is better this time around). The OST is actually also pretty good. I won't comment on the rest just to keep things positive.
I only watched for Johnny Bai and Zheng Ye Cheng. I thought they were great.. I almost stopped watching because of the Zhao Er Xi character. She could not have been more annoying. Not really a fan of the ML and FL characters either. Very flat personalities and there's hardly anything interesting about people who are made to be completely perfect and have completely perfect lives. Overall though it was an ok series, not great, but not bad either. Something ok to watch when you're bored.
The production does not seem as polished as some of the other recent Philippine BL's we've seen this year but it doesn't bother me either. I'm interested in seeing how the story develops.
Pretty decent first episode. I was not expecting the level of production here. I will save the rest of my comments until I've seen a few more episodes.
are Mew and Gulf a couple in real life? anyone know?
Actors tend not to advertise their relationships until or unless its serious and something they're out about with the people closest to them, so even if they were fans wouldn't know about it unless they wanted fans to know about it. It would not necessarily be to their benefit to be out about any relationship or flings as actors looking to be in other roles (either BL or straight) because they don't want to be typecast. Most see it as best to keep their private lives private.
Great little movie. Even though it's short, it was well worth the price. I hope to see this director someday do a full length movie or even a web drama series one day.
