I never comment on the people who do makeup and wardrobe on BL's, but whoever they have doing both on this show are really good. Beyond the guys all being models, all of them look like they could be on a fashion magazine photo shoot in so many of the scenes, even Angelica looked like a model in this episode. :)
Also I love that they do the informational things at the end of each episode.
Nice ending. Whoever did the script and directing for this did a great job presenting just enough of these gritty scenarios that you care about the characters but its short enough that you feel satisfied with it all and their collective friendship after the 4th episode. Also Miguel is proving to be a great actor.
I like how things are developing. There was minor mic/sound issues in this episode but overall it was ok. I really REALLY hope they stop showing Brendalynne eating non-stop though.
I didn't know if I was going to watch this but I gave it a try the other day and find that it's been pretty interesting. I like the themes they're taking on. The diversity of types of non-heterosexual relationships aren't commonly portrayed in shows.
Not sure how I felt about this ending. Overall I thought it was a decent story even if the final wasn't a high note. The series had one or two really great aspects to the plot that I enjoyed regarding class dynamics and the treatment of transgenders. The chemistry between the two ML's was great and kept me interested. The OST wasn't that good IMO but I tend to ignore that unless something completely wow's me like "Like in the Movies" did. Not sure if this is the first production from the company that made this but I got the feeling they have potential to put together a great series, just need more practice. If there's a season 2 I would probably watch it.
Watch Like in the Movies. It's SO much better than ANY Thai BLs. Due to its stressing the importance of consent.
Yeah I enjoyed that a lot. That has made it into my top 3 BL's of 2020. The best thai BL of 2020 for me has been I told sunset about you, which I enjoy precisely because it tells a great story and has none of the cliche's we're used to seeing from the major studios.
In a way its the cultural style of making TV series/movies. For asians they might think western shows/movies have…
Cultural values are moments in time that are always shifting and reacting either to public sentiment or to State legislation. I understand that. My comment wasn't about and had nothing to do with comparing "western" TV shows with "Asian" ones. I know that I can find this in "western" shows if I were to look for them, but they'd 9 times out of 10 be labeled with warnings. I don't care where the shows are from that produce this type of trope, as someone who has been victimized by a sexual predator and that unfortunately has to live with and survive with that memory, it's simply something that bothers me. My comment was spontaneous and had more to do with my surprise that this is such a common trope in thai BL's. I wasn't asking for anyone's comment on what I find problematic.
Also I love that they do the informational things at the end of each episode.
