If anyone's curious about the quote at the start of episode 1, it's from The Catcher in the Rye, famously the part of the novel where Holden Caulfield explixitly mentions the title of the book. One of the most well-known alienated fictional teens, struggling to find his place in the world, it did feel fitting.
Did netflix make this season? I mean is the director and scriptwriter is the same or they changed it? Maybe that’s…
Same director and writer - Yoo Su Min. But it's not meant to feel like S1. It's a new setting, a new chapter of Sieun's story. The director used a different color palette for this season, for instance, and obviously the characters and dynamics are different too, by design.
FINALE SPOILER BELOWWWW . . . . The scene with Suho in the finale was everything I wanted and so well acted by Hyunwook and Jihoon. Now that I know that, I can start watching from the beginning. 🫶
21st may to 4th June with 11 episodes ,this doesn't make sense according to Disney weekly released plans
"Nine Puzzles will be available exclusively on Disney+, with six episodes releasing on May 21, followed by three on May 28, and the final two on June 4, for a total of eleven episodes."
How did you know that they cut the part from the English dub?
I doubt it. I’m guessing they’re just being coy about Choi Hyun-wook’s appearance. He wakes up in the manhwa and this season covers the rest of it, so there’s no reason he shouldn’t wake up at the end. We’ll know on Friday.
I wouldn't mind paying more but when I see how Netflix/Western influence has changed the Korean dramas, I dropped…
Even for those who don't like the original Korean content on Netflix (they're very hit or miss for me), they are licensing some of the best dramas on TV in Korea for weekly drops, as well as having a rich library of some of the best older dramas (including some I've not seen yet). So I still definitely think it's more than worth the subscription fee for me personally.
Costs are going up, yet the quality is going down. Korean dramas are starting to eat its own tail. There are some…
That's definitely not true. With big streamers like Netflix and Disney+, we now have far *more* variation in terms of the production of Korean dramas for instance relating to genre and maturity ratings. We're also seeing more queer dramas on streamers like TVING. The only thing that's really repetitive is the tropes in romantic dramas, but that was always the case.
How did you know that they cut the part from the English dub?
If you watch the trailer again now on the Netflix app with the English dub, there's a cut right where the words"Suho's hospital" were when they first released it. So now Sieun just says "If you step foot near [cut] again, you are all dead."
No, Weak Hero Class 2 is the correct way to refer to it. "Class" is used as the season descriptor on Netflix. The drama itself is just listed as Weak Hero, where you can then select Class 1 or (soon) Class 2. So there's no "season".
Very interesting how Netflix seem to now have cut the part about Suho's hospital from the English dub trailer after it blew up on social media. An accidental spoiler, it would seem. 🤭
no shade but they shouldve picked a dif actor for mr j lmao he is not cute enough to be acting like that and it's…
I don't know him but every time he was on screen I was distracted by his huge teeth (veneers?) and how his lips struggled to cover them whenever the character smiled his stupid smile.
if she had not try to save him from falling the tablet would have been broken anyway how is it her fault. also…
Many love Chaemin, myself included. Casting directors as well, it would seem. One of my favorite male rookies, and I can't wait to see him in Cashero and The Tyrant's Chef later this year.
