Insane to not have Love in the Big City on the list. Kim Go Eun was equally excellent there as in Exhuma. It was well-received by audiences, won two Blue Dragon Film Awards and pushed the envelope of mainstream Korean cinema in a conservative environment.

But the exclusion of Escape as well tells me what I need to know about the motivation.

It looks good in action! JTBC released a teaser. Seems Ahn Pan-seok grew fond of cool grey-haired characters after doing the same to Seo Jung-yeon in Midnight Romance in Hagwon.

That’s basically what the end-of-year network award shows are. Celebrating all the actors who starred in their dramas in the past year. So most of those who show up get something.

It says "Season 2 coming on Thursday" on my Netflix. All episodes will drop on Dec 26.

They are based on the same characters from the novel, yes. In the film the focus is on their friendship, while the drama covers the entire book, focusing on ML's romantic relationships.

Finally saw this and it was lovely. Great chemistry between Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun. The latter really has movie star swagger, I hope he books more lead roles soon. It has a very different angle/point of view from the series, so it never felt repetitive despite me seeing that first. Both superb adapatations.

It does unfortunately look like this has been postponed.

Some stupid app trying to do TV. They did Fragile recently and High Cookie last year. They apparently have Twelve coming next year with Seo In Guk and Park Hyung Sik so hopefully they have gotten better.

Also they're mostly doing short-form TV, so I'm guessing this drama will be 16 half-hour episodes, so 8 normal episodes. But it's JTBC too so hopefully not.

Another Ryu Jun-yeol drama! Glad he's doing TV again.

Maybe they'll be sneaky and do a tie again like with Lee Je Hoon and Kim Tae Ri last year.

Either way I think Park Shin Hye will win/be one of the winners of this prize.
