They should've ended this drama with the 2nd season instead of dragging in needlessly.
That makes absolutely no sense. S2 simply stops in the middle of everything. It was written and filmed together with S3 and together they complete the story the creator wanted to tell.
Blame Netflix. Their backlog of dramas is ridiculous. This finished filming last April. And every new Netflix original filming at this time will basically have to wait until 2026 to be released. Hopefully we'll get this one in February/March this year, rather than having to wait even longer.
I enjoyed S2 a lot, but it was very clear that it was just half a story and just stopped in the middle of everything. The success of the story overall will be more clear after the final 6 episodes are out in 2025.
Everyone can make a mistake like this. It's clear many were just waiting to jump on him for daring to portray a minority in a conservative as hell country. Maybe worry about your corrupt politicians and your democracy crumbling rather than someone mistakenly posting something to their IG story.
Honestly i just read the synopsis and wonder where the story is?
Slice of life dramas are generally known for having less elaborate plots, happily following the characters in their daily lives, dealing with trouble at work, trying to reach their goals, falling in and out of love. Some find it boring, while others love it. It depends on what you like.
I finally thought Kang Hoon would get his chance to be ML since he was the first actor linked to and confirmed for this project ages ago, but now it seems like he'll actually be SML once again... 🙃
Just saw this drama on my plan to watch list and didn’t recognise which drama it was until I clicked it. I don’t…
Black Salt Dragon does not sound like a romcom, which is likely why they changed the name. In English the native Korean title makes little sense and gives no indication of what the drama is about. Some would maybe get associations to Six Flying Dragons, which is a very different drama. I agree that the "My X Y" titles are overused though. At least it's not "My Lovely Nemesis". 🤣
Do we have a date yet? Is it official? I didn't even know. It's coming soon! King Choi Hyunwook is back!!!
Yes, filming just wrapped. Scheduled for February. There's been a bit back and forth on whether it's 16 or 12 episodes, but it looks like it'll be 12. Makes most sense with length of filming, too.
He already prepared fans for that in interviews, saying he didn't film that much for S2 and S3, and he was also doing Worst of Evil promo and filming Midnight Romance in Hagwon at the time.
