Interested to see if the episode count (7) is accurate, because when the show was first ordered to series it was 20 episodes which was then split in two seasons. By that logic we should get another 10 for S2.
The article shows a lack of understanding of how weekly drops on Netflix works. Of course it drops in points on…
True, though as a "Top 10 aggregate" it's still a useful tool to gauge a drama's reach and popularity since Netflix don't share much hard data on daily viewership.
I don't think it's good comparison.QOT was collided with Wonderful World on Saturday which also has a decent rating…
Actually it continued to hold true for QOT after WW concluded, so your point doesn't make sense. It also happened every week of airing for Midnight Romance in Hagwon and The Auditors, the two most recent weekend dramas to air in this time slot on tvN.
MDL should update this news, the recent rating of Love Next Door is 6.6 or 6.5, the highest on its run so far.…
The article shows a lack of understanding of how weekly drops on Netflix works. Of course it drops in points on Flixpatrol towards the end of a week. Most people have seen the episodes! Then it goes back up again when new episodes come out, like we are seeing today.
The sentence about it mostly retaining popularity only in Asia is also wildly inaccurate. It is currently in the top 10 list of more than 30 countries/regions outside of Asia.
My view .. i think this drama has taken a page from Welcome to Sam dal-ri .. Only 4 episodes though so will wait…
If it's taken a page from anywhere it would be HCCC, since it's the same writer/director and production team. I guess it's more right to say Samdalri took a page from HCCC, too.
And there we go, Love Next Door hitting a new high for episode 4 with 6.6%. Deserved! Saturday ratings are always lower, we saw that especially clearly with QOT, but it's a general rule at this point.
Do you guys genuinely believe this deserves an 8.8 rating?
I don't rate dramas until they're finished, but I have no complaints so far. It makes sense that the rating is high, because the first four episodes have been a great start to the drama.
i can still feel the similarity between Sang Min's roles in Wedding Impossible and this new series. I wonder why…
It is odd to choose two roles so similar to one another back to back. Especially since he probably got offered much more interesting scripts after Under the Queen's Umbrella. I can't help but wonder if he should've picked better scripts where he's not necessarily ML to build his career since he's still so young. These under-seen dramas with so-so reception won't lift his profile.
Part of succeeding as an actor is to make smart choices when it comes to scripts. Choi Hyun-wook could've done ML already if he wanted to, instead he picked three excellent scripts in 2521, Weak Hero Class 1 and Twinkling Watermelon. All as SML, but all excellent. memorable dramas.
Wouldn't be the first time Korean TV audiences miss a diamond right in front of their noses. Even if it doesn't rise in domestic TV ratings (which matter less and less because young people stream), it's still a huge success on Netflix, where it looks set to stay put on the Top 10 list until it ends in October.
This episode was much better than the previous one.But at this point they are giving more and more sibling vibes😭Come…
Well obviously, until now they basically are like siblings, having been close childhood friends. That's why he said she has no gender to him in the last episode. 😭 Their dynamic will obviously change as they realise their feelings for one another 😍
