I'm sure there will be more of it, but I'd be surprised if the romance turned out to be better. Two men are on…
And I must also say way way more handsome and compatible with the female lead. I hope they portray the original relationship well, otherwise there will probably be some SLS :D
What I like about this is that even in their school era it's not too much about school. Many other dramas have a lot of school scenes but here the school and outside-of-school scenes are nicely ballanced or even more space is given to the outside. I think that is this drama's charm - the beautiful seaside of Zhazhating. Though I liked the first several vacation / fully-out-of-school episodes' vibe even more. Just to clarify, I don't mean that I don't like them attending school in general but rather the in-school scenes' ratio to the outside-of-school scenes in favor of the outside.
It had everything one could want from a romance but it lacked the things outside of romance which are, sadly, very necessary for a great drama. For example the ending was all we always ask for - not to rush to end the series with the plot and give us a bit more of their sweet moments after the final challenge has been overcome. However, there was just not enough of anything else but the sweet moments. Still I enjoyed the watch and don't regret starting this drama.
I love how Alen's acting (especially his facial micro expressions) is visibly different in the 6th episode indicating he's probably not the same person. Wow!
I actually think it would make quite an interesting ending to let them have his whole life happy together and then give us an epilogue of 200 years after his death (in like a republican era) where a new man comes into HS's lovers' graveyard and she tells him how she loved DS very much and what his name was and then kinda gets together with the new person. I don't actually like it but it I think it would somehow feel wholesome and realistic. Him healing her and making her believe in love again, giving her his years and her also giving their relationship her all but her life just has to go on. But other than that I'll be ok with any kind of happy ending (her becoming human, him becoming a spirit) as well. But no BE please!
ep26 endswith the pig-slaughtering squad standing tiredly looking at the now-revealed Marquis off in the distance…
I find much funnier the fact that all other soldiers just left (even the opponents just leaving their general's body lying there) and only the Pig squad was left on the battlefield.
I just need to say this , ep 17 ,literally five minutes in and I WAS NOT ready for this ( even if I read the novel…
Right! The colors in that scene were amazing. I thought to myself: "there is no reason for the yellow light in the left bottom corner as the fire is in the frame, but is is just beautiful, so be it. ππ
