It is kinda frustrating to see the ML's inability to express himself. He does not communicate well, while she…
"Traumatized from childhood" is a compulsory part of the CEO starter kit. But considering he's essentially a ruthless backstabber in the very beginning (in the VR game), he does improve fast, doesn't he?
that geo-blocking business is pretty bizarre/stupid business model. like if i check the "latest" on iq.com…
In some ways, the streaming wars just serve to make piracy look good. Though pirate streaming sites like kiss are more 'ugly piracy' than 'pretty piracy' - your pixels won't be as pretty as those of well-paying customers.
I fall in love deeper with lu yu xiao in here, i mean, ive wtch her in my journey to you, with sassy, bada$$ girl…
You haven't seen https://mydramalist.com/749431-the-story-of-hua-zhi yet, right? While the FL ZJY of that is good (even paired with HYT, who isn't among China's best male actors), LYX totally steals the show.
Could anyone spoil when they get together and if there’s a breakup? And if anyone has any suggestions for shows…
This is more of mature romance than the super tropey rollercoaster stuff with misunderstandings and rivals and whatnot. In other words, there's a lot of sweet scenes in this show and the leads spend a lot of time on screen together. The sole show that is on your PTW list (When Destiny Brings the Demon) goes into a similar direction too, while something like You Are My Glory has a lot of post-getting-together episodes.
When Hu Xiu snuck backstage and into the game to alert Zhi Yo about Pei Zhen, did anyone else notice she never…
There are other commenters below who were a tad upset with the VR being nothing but plot hole galore. A few exemplary low-hanging fruit: - they kiss wearing VR goggles? would just bump into each other. - on the security cam footage, they aren't wearing any gear. - such a huge area, train and all, can't just casually be on the backyard or underground of the outside building used in the show, in the middle of a city and all - that amount of 'NPC actors' and real estate couldn't possibly be affordable with the low amount of game participants - if ML allegedly designed the whole city as architect, how long would it have taken him to do that alongside his regular day job, and how long would construction have taken if it's actual buildings and not just some 3D printed prefab stuff or a merely virtual area?
i noticed hu xiu's steps is a bit... off? it's awkward in my opinion. any thoughts on this one? like does she…
I read hateful CN online commenters hate on her for consequences of her childhood spinal injury. (Personally haven't noticed it, but I'm not much of a walk analyzer.)
This is an unpopular opinion but it was only okay till ep 19-20. After that it became boring. There was no reason…
There's an audience for everything. For other people, say, a show where the leads get together at 75% or later gets a lower rating, and five seconds before the end is seen as downright offensive.
Dunno how much you watched of You Are My Glory since you put it as dropped w/o ep count, but that seems like a show you really wouldn't like in that specific light. (There, after the leads get together, absolutely nothing meaningful happens, and the show goes on for a bazillion more hours.)
I dont like at all the Chinese parents. Why they control, they imposed what kind of relationship thei children…
In this show you don't only have "the parents can enter your private space at any time, and what they say goes", but also "the eldest son has to carry all the burden, without flaws, or else..." (⛳)
the first half of the show was super strong! the second half did feel a bit too dramatic and a bit loop-holy like…
Silly makjang stuff really wasn't needed, indeed. It was all just same-old stuff too, in the way that every costume drama must end in narrowly defeating the villains as they try to storm the palace in a coup.
is it just me or k don’t like how they just played the FL friend like that was so unnecessary to make her husband…
It was unnecessary for both FL and SFL to have a pre-existing guy to lose, but the storyline itself made sense in that he kept deceiving her in new ways, and eventually it reached the point where nothing he said could be trusted anymore. Unless there are young children involved, I believe people would get divorced over something like that IRL?
Guys wanted to start this drama and before starting just wanted an opinion check 1. Glory2. Fangs of Fortune Help…
FoF is a bit into BL on my scale.
From what I've watched, FoF's is HMH's best performance by far. He has a lot of presence & relevance.
He is good here in Glory, and sort of carries the show, but he sometimes has too silly facial expressions (more like BftBrink/DashingYouth). Often both the leads intentionally have rather static expressions, so you have to look for the (very) little things.
the bad ending?I understand why that would be the case. There are very few dramas where a bad ending actually…
You can choose your own adventure between it being a existential horror level bad ending and a kind of positive/hopeful/open ending. For when you are done, there are plenty of posts here explaining how they reach each view.
Of course you can also not watch the last two episodes (lol), or move on to something else ASAP and forget about the ending.
Past and present is not comparable to whether egg came first or the chicken came first problem. Past remain Past…
" Also, it seems when XY3 enters XY1 or XY2's body they seems to coexist with xy3 visiting time and know everything that has happened during that time and share her knowledge, feelings, experiences, enlightenment, actions and decisions are their decisions too. Why do I persist on understanding it this way, the reason is in ( ep 2 at 5 ) where XM explained to HY3 that he saw XY2 kill herself with a sword right after everyone left and Xy said "meeting you was the best decision I have made in this life" that was XY2 and others were witnessing ending her life but in ep 30 at 32, XY3 (after king looses all the fragments of kunlun mirror) cries Hong ye! Only and does not say meeting you was the best decision in this life instead quickly collects his tear essence and as soon as she collects it the array is activated and she leave she did not lift any sword to kill XY2's body. " -> Well that's why I said it's two versions of the story, the 'current XY3 as XY2' XY2 lifetime incarnation and the one from before the latest time travel. XM recounted this memory to HY3 before XY3 had ever timetraveled in the show, so this change had not been made yet.
" Because the holy mother's voice in the array she should remember they are all you meaning that they are her previous lives (not some other person). " -> That too can just as well be taken as 'they are different incarnations of you', since a soul having multiple lifetimes & reincarnations is the expected reality in dramaland. With time travel, parallel worlds, or reincarnation, there can be multiple versions of the same person that have different agendas, and in the dramas I've seen, killing a different parallel world's you is still murder, and sacrificing yourself for a you from a different time is still sacrifice. That's how I view this.
Of course, by now it seems clear we will just have to agree to disagree, since we interpret / judge all these in incompatible ways.

We don't know how much of an affair he actually had (if he just was 1x "kissed against his will and then pushed her away" or it was a lengthy thing).
It was all just same-old stuff too, in the way that every costume drama must end in narrowly defeating the villains as they try to storm the palace in a coup.

As a peace offering, let me leave you with a recommendation for https://mydramalist.com/22605-hit-the-top (based on your list you might well enjoy it).
