I'm really wondering how they will bring the "revenge" part aspect in the plot, since there's only 4 episodes left. For now, it's more like a long exposure on the motivations of the revenge, the start of the relationship between Sun and Jay, etc. in fact. I'm worried this will be rushed in the end, unless they're planning for another season.
The stellar scene for me is still the finger cone hallucination (I have rewinded this more than the famous NC scene). ChaeHa's imagination is impressive.
Ok. Making an analysis here. But I like that the series has multiple layers. They're also using all those romcom cliches to destroy them. It's intentional lol.
Since they're turning every "romantic" scene into ironical moments of doubt, with a feeling of dread, horror and danger...
The dance ? Romantic ? Or the playground of a predator ? The illusion of "harmony" ? Those two bodies are not really able to follow the rythm together right ? The piano scene ? The sweet music of love ? But disturbed by a false note, when Big Jane drops Little Jane's hand...the hand that lovers usually hold... The sex scene ? Want and consent ? But Big Jane looming over Little Jane like a predator on his prey, giving him a false sense of security while sweet talking to him... The rich boyfriend that so many dramas depict as the ideal partner ? Rich in money but absolutely poor in terms of compassion, empathy, etc. Common people ? They fear those in power or despise them but at the same time want what they have and readily accept those chains for those dreams of "wealth"...
And I could go on and on...
And a question maybe and that's my own interpretation : is the "LOVE" depicted in dramas, movies, etc. not the depiction of a mere contract of domination and possession in fact ? The criticism is scathing or at least the answers won't be that clear even if those "genuine" feelings DO happen for Big Jane (or are portrayed as such in the series) ! Because let's not forget rule n°1 : Don't be too emotional !

Just by seeing Ju Tae Seon serious face while undressing himself, and resolutely removing his belt, I was already gone, laughing on the floor ðŸ˜. oh boy the actor must have had fun with this scene. Hope we'll see him in a comedy next time. Because I think he has the talent for it too.

Maybe Love in the moonlight (with Pearl and Peak)
Not perfect but fun to watch and very soap-opera (it's more lakorn than BL in fact). Historical BL but with evil people being very evil people, main leads not liking each other at the beginning (slow burn), etc. And there's a plot full of tension. And dark because of abuse, political tension, etc.
It's details like this which tell you the series is really interesting and complex.
And there are a lot of stories, movies, who portray violent scenes with gunfights, blood, blows, etc.
Sun's brother scene being stabbed ? And seeing it ?
No one have complained about it. Absolutely no one.
But apparently seeing two guys having sex, seeing butts and kisses and moans and whatever with a bunny head is apparently more problematic.
