Funny how it's only a problem with female characters... lol
This reply is gonna be a bit long, so, under spoilers just in case.
Yeah, except the leads in *Artificial City* and Vincenzo were both anti-heroes... which I stated. And pointed out. I didn't compare Vincenzo to this drama, don't twist my words lol
If an FL did half the things that Vincenzo's ML did, she would be called a villain and dragged from Hell to back on here. That's the cold, hard truth. We both know it.
If we're talking about villains, Queen of Ambition and Temptation of an Angel had villain FLs, Penthouse had both + a villain ML (yes, it's Joo Dan-Tae lol), and Escape of the Seven did. As does Elegant Empire (older daily drama.) Guess who people rooted for more in those dramas... the MLs, the male characters, over the female ones/FLs. Usually, at least.
Especially with- for example- Bae Rona from Penthouse, who they basically only liked when she was in a relationship with Seok-Hoon... and she was a supporting character. (They both were.) Annoying, yes? But a genuinely awful person, compared to the others? π Why was she apparently only tolerable in a relationship with a boy? Hmm...
Regardless, an ML can do horrible things and still gets defended. But an FL can't and is automatically the worst person ever. I've seen this happen too many times and too often. Even a morally grey FL gets trashed. Why can't things change now? Why can't people root for grey or villain FLs the way people do with MLs, like FLs (good or not) in general haven't been getting bashed for everything for YEARS? It's annoying, especially since a LOT of k-drama fans are girls/women themselves.
Holy shit, the drama threw us a curveball in those last scenes! I didn't even expect that!!!
I have no idea where the story's going now, but I'm here for it... that preview is insane. Oh my goodness, I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next!
How will JW fight back from this? What's SH planning to do? What's Chairman Two-Face gonna do now that he knows about the swap??? WTF?!
The highlight of the episode was definitely Gangsta Mama and Fashion Ajumma's hair pulling fight π Nan-Suk really said, "Hold my purse for me!" She's my fave lmaoooo

There are tons of examples I can think of, actually... let's start with the popular romance dramas! Some MLs can be complete assholes and people still root for them. But let an FL do a single bad thing and everyone hates her. What about Vincenzo vs. Artificial City. Both leads in these dramas were anti-heroes. Guess who people liked more? That's right, the ML from Vincenzo. NOT the FL from Artificial City.
Now, apparently supporting grey/evil FLs is bad, but MLs... π they're off the hook.
PS, calling my answer dumb when you're a snobby idiot doesn't make you seem smart. Go take a nap. Log off. Or better yet, screw off.
Could anyone give me anything like this ?? kdrama recommendations
Queen of Ambition, Five Fingers, Flames of Desire, Secrets and Lies, First Lady, A Bird That Doesn't Sing, A Graceful Liar, Royal Family, and Artificial City.
Some of these are daily dramas, but I mainly recommend Queen of Ambition, Five Fingers, and Flames of Desire.
I mean, she does... Ripley syndrome is considered a sign of sociopathy.
Definitely hated the husband, but he was more complex than you'd think. Won't spoil it, but it got a lot better in the second half. And less boring by like, episode 4-ish.
Ironically she was in Mysterious Personal Shopper, Vengeance of the Bride, and The Promise. All of those dramas were better than those 2 we mentioned lol

Also, I already don't care about Hong Da-Mi...

Highly recommend these ones btw. They're good.
