Despite the dragging subplots. Personally the only character I like in First Man is the villain Hwa-Young... otherwise, it's not great to me either. 😂 I haven't watched a new episode in about a week or 2. I dropped PIR so those are 2 letdowns- both revenge dramas that turned out to be not-so-revenge dramas lmao

In my opinion First Man mostly has far better acting than this one... cringy comedy scenes don't take over the whole drama either. 👀 I think the next KBS2 drama should be better...

Hwa-Young is basically the true lead/protagonist of this drama. I'm rooting for her- Jang-Mi feels like a total disappointment so far!

Tae-Seop is a fixer, basically. Jung-Won seems to manipulate situations? She also gives me "fixer" vibes...

Sang-Ah has pretty much crossed the line into villainy now, based on everything I've been hearing/reading...

If Jung-Won committed the murder, I would not be surprised. (Thank God Jae-Sang is dead, because I predicted he'd die from the get-go...) I mean, we haven't even solved the mystery of who actually stabbed OKJ first to have ANOTHER red herring!

Chemistry is VERY important too. See, I'd watch more romcomes if leads had great chemistry + writing (and the looks... they're a bonus 👀)

If one bases their opinion on MDL ratings... I strongly advise them NOT to do that. 😬 They are NEVER accurate nor reliable. (I know you weren't doing that, but I've seen it happen too often lol)

The only k-drama where I've seen the police be remotely competent at all is in Return. It was a legal/crime drama with the FL as a lawyer and the ML as a detective, so it made sense there. 😂

For me, the predecessor A Graceful Liar was pretty good. I liked Queen's House too. I think Witch's Game/Game of Witches is another good (yet underrated) drama. Also I am enjoying First Man (despite the dragging subplots.)

And yeah, if queer folks are still getting killed and discriminated against all over the world, right NOW, as we speak, it's a fucking social issue. Same shit's happening to black people, women, etc. You are choosing to focus on the fact that the FL is sapphic (which was revealed in episode 3-4 as A PLOT TWIST, there were NO indications of it before that) when there's much bigger issues being portrayed in the drama. Basic storytelling? Hello???

Did you miss the part about sex trafficking and sexual exploitation within the Korean entertainment industry, too? Or the connections between the elite, politics, and entertainment? Should we tag that too? Gotta tag sexual assault? Suicide? Every major event that happens in a 10-episode streaming drama? Please... ain't nobody got time for that! 💀
