Romance is a bonus in life

The story is about the relationship between Kang Dan I and Cha Eun Ho. They met by chance when they were younger and had been close friends for years. Unbeknown to Dan I, Eun Ho harbored feelings for her since he was young. However, he knew that Dan I did not like him back, so he stayed as her little brother figure in her life. He watched over her from afar, as she got married and assumed she had a good life with her husband.

However, it turned out that Dan I had a messy divorce with her husband, who left her for his mistress. She then struggled to find jobs after being unemployed for many years, despite her past work experience and stellar academic scores. Then the story continued on how Dan I learned to stand on her feet back into society, making a career, re-discovering herself, and finding love as a bonus.

Nostalgia about youth

I haven't watched all of the reply series yet, I just watched 1997 and this one. Considering that this one is the newest among the other replies, this one delivers a much more powerful impact and story. The story revolves around 5 childhood friends, about their youth and families.

I would say this is one of the best youth theme dramas I have ever watched. The story is natural, quirky, and realistic, There are many potentials candidates for Doek sun's husband. But I think it is pretty obvious who is the husband since the beginning. There are many hints and also the chemistry between Doek sun's and the husband are the best among other candidates. Their scenes together are always romantic and memorable. They just compliment each other so well that I can't argue with the end game. I just feel a little bit sad that we didn't get to see any scene of their wedding, although we know that they end up together in the end.

It's season 2 and even better

The acting and characterization of each character are even deeper and better. The transition between the different seasons is quite smooth. Some stories are even darker and also interesting.

The main character, the Master is still the same as ever. Coming into season 2, I feel that I get to know his character much more. He is a very sympathetic person. Sometimes in the borderline between being too involved or just watching by the side. Both mostly he always listen to all his customer's problems.

Its a surreal experience

How do I say this? I was watching this drama without any expectations. I was in the mood of watching JDrama when I realize that this drama is quite popular on Netflix with a lot of seasons. Usually, it's pretty rare for JDrama to have many seasons unless it is highly popular in Japan. And I can see why this drama is very popular, to the point that China, Korea, and I think Thailand? also try to make their own version (but of course they failed? That's what I heard I didn't see their version yet so I can't comment on this.)

Based on manga (I did not read it yet), it told about random people who come into the Meshiya, a diner that only opened at midnight to morning. There are only 3 regular menus and the Master will cook any dish that the customer requested as long as he has the ingredients. Each person had a different story that will be associated with one dish that they order.

The story can be quite dark sometimes but can be also hopeful. The main theme of the drama is slice of life, there is some romance, but it's very little. There are things about growth and up and downs of life. this drama might not be for everyone's taste. This drama is very good for people who like watching some dramas that can make you reflect. Another thing, this drama is also good for people who like to cook. At the end of each eps, the Master will show you the recipe of the dish.

Overall it's a good drama. I'm currently watching season 3. Although the pace is repetitive, but each story is quite unique from one another. I haven't feel bored yet after watching 23 eps.

With each season, it gets weirder.

I have finished watching season 1 and 2. Season 3 is weirder than ever. The story is still about Naoko and Ueda going to solves mysterious cases about fake miracles. The drama is more comedy than mystery. If you are looking for mystery drama this is not for you. The joke is too hard to understand because it plays a lot with Japanese puns. If you don't understand Japanese, you won't get the joke.

I was expecting more from season 3, but I can't go on after watching 2 eps. There is no improvement on story-wise as well as the character.

Thanks for the Director to pick up such an amazing story and put up a great adaptation.

The love story between Lanzhan and WeiYing is one of its kind. They are just a perfect fit for each other. Although China censorship does not allow any BL content, the Director really manages to take great risks to keep up the true essence of the story with incredible directing and actings. Without any confession, LanZhan unconditional love can be felt. He loves WeiYing with all his hearts and he shows it with clear actions. It will be nice if this drama can be remade sometime in the future when china censorship has lessened their censor for certain things. But I'm still quite satisfied with this.

Nevertheless, the BL content is not the best part of this drama (I do enjoy good BL, but this drama offers more than that). What I love the most is the fact that there are many interesting characters and each of them is really complex. Both the villain and protagonist have their own faults, bad and good. You will feel ache and sympathize with each of them.

A wonderful story with a roller coaster road

I was already interested in watching this series when I saw the trailer on Netflix. It reminded me a little bit of Hotel Del Luna and I was between being interested and also kind of putting this off for a moment. Well, the theme is maybe a little bit similar, about ghost, grudge, being punished because of the past deeds. However, this drama is completely different from Hotel Del Luna, this drama is even better than HDL. This one has gone up to the top of my favs.

First let's talk about the casts. All the casts are perfects. Hwang jeung eum as Weol Ju is a perfect match. She is really good at acting over the top, as her past drama Kill Me Heal Me, which really perfect. She truly brings the character alive with her amazing act. And she didn't care to go all over with weird gestures that always crack me up. Then we have Seung Jae as Kang Bae. I know Seung Jae has a talent for acting since watching him in Goblin. He really good at bringing some comedic relief, but he is also good at bringing emotion. When he cried it feels like he was truly in pained and you feel heartbroken for him too.

I love the fact that this drama is not too long just to make it long which I always found in other k-drama. I find 12 eps is perfect for the whole show. There is no such thing as fillers where the couple breaks off or some other stupid thing that makes you feel you wasted some hours for that filler eps. The story is well written. Everything is good paced except for the last ep, but it not that bad if you compare with other k -drama. It's still quite satisfying in a way too.

Compare to Hotel Del Luna, I think this drama is even better. I love both dramas, but I have to admit, this drama has a better pace and story. Hotel Del Luna has too many disturbing BGM without caring about the moment of the scene. The songs are good but they are too many and sometimes destroy the mood of the scene. Then also too much effect and the side character, although loveable, lack some justifiable scenes where you can get to know more about their backstories. It also has a lot of filler eps that make you wonder why they put this in and so on. Hotel Del Luna was entertaining, but it was not able to give me a rollercoaster ride of emotion. Whereas, MPB is able to give me that. I cry, laugh like crazy and deeply immersed in the story. I think I might rewatch this show again.

This show is not only about eating delicious food, but they also show the cooking process of the delicious dishes from famous restaurant. I love Korean food and I also love cooking. I learn a lot about Korean food and cooking through this show. It is also exciting to watch because the show is quite entertaining, and Mr. Baek is also really good at explaining things and make things looks really delicious. Whenever you see him eats, you cannot help to drop your jaw at the same time. They change the setting a couple of times, but it not a problem for me because it does keep the show interesting.

This drama is like a bar of chocolate. It's sweet and addicting. The story is cliche as it can be, but the characters, comedy, and the production make it into a series that is enjoyable to watch. The concept of the story is like an ugly duckling that true identity is a swan, The main character, QingQing, she is a very pretty girl from a very rich family. She is also highly educated and has a lot of talents. In order to find out more about her parents, she runs away from home and lives in disguise. She disguises herself as an ugly girl. Although she was mean to be ugly, I think she is still pretty cute. I still cannot get the perception of wearing glasses and having short curly hair can be considered as ugly. But this is the setup.

After an accident, she met Situ Feng. They start on a bad note. They fight a lot and act as an enemy to each other. But slowly they fall in love. There are so many funny parts in the story that makes it a good rom-com drama. I give it 8 because although the drama is enjoyable, it still lacks in the department of emotion. Through the journey, even though the drama makes me laugh, but it fails to make me emotional during the sad scenes. The ending is kind of rush but it gives you a notion of happy ending with all characters are all paired up. Overall the drama delivered the main story that it wants to deliver. It's a good youth rom-com drama. The story is not too serious. But more like funny and cuddly.

The story is simple and can be cliche. Luo Zhi has an unrequited love for Hainan since their highschool days. They went to the same university and finally met again. This time, they hit it off right away. Luo Zhi is the typical stubborn, introverted but actually soft-hearted girl. The romance did not start smoothly. But bypassing each hurdle, Lu Zhi and Hainan grew together. The drama is simple and kind of short. But it contains what it needs without any feeling of being incomplete. The resolution arc has less impact. But overall the drama is very enjoyable to watch. I really love the simplicity of the drama. A lot of drama nowadays are made with too many effects and scenes just for fan service. The simplicity of the cinematography actually brings in more emotion which makes it beautiful. This is also a type of drama that can make you want to rewatch it again and again.

Another drama by the famous Hong Sisters. The sisters are famous for making fantasy drama and you can see their style has grown from their previous drama like Hwayugi and Master Sun. So far I think this is my fav from all their previous work I have seen.

The first episode is just so powerful. The introduction of the characters and the set where IU as Mang Weol shows up with a bang. It has already hooked me up. IU is really great and has become a very powerful actress. Her way of speaking as well as her body language is on the point. I cannot think that there will be another actress that can play the role as well as her.

In the beginning, I feel no chemistry between the lead but slowly by each episode, you can feel the chemistry is building as well as the romance between them starting to grow as well.

There are couples episode that you might feel like filler but each story indirectly carries a subtle message. Like the story about the dead bride is like a premonition about what end we will get from Man Weol and Chang Sung.

The side characters are loveable. The side couple is so sweet and even sweeter than the main couple. I hear the one who plays Ji Hyun Joong is actually a new actor. But he acts really well and kind of able to ignite me, as audience to sympathize deeply with what his characters feel. I feel like wanting to stan him for his next projects.

The backlash about this drama is probably that some episode is made like in a rush. I hear that the production team spend so much money on the first couple episode. I feel some episode is made a little bit in lower quality, another thing is way too many soundtrack song is used. I get that it serves to promote the song. But I feel like the song kind of sometimes destroy the ambiance of the drama. While the songs are good, I think it better to use it moderately and use an instrumental BGM instead. And a lot of product placement as well in the drama that is very obvious.

Overall I enjoy the ride. This drama raises my emotion when I don't expect it and keep going like a storm. The ending is justifiable and for the first time, I feel like 16 eps is not enough for K drama. I feel in my heart that I don't want to part with this drama yet.

Endpoint, this drama might not be a cup of tea for everybody but it has a special place for me. If you like Goblin and Hwayugi, you should give this drama a try. But if these are not your kind of drama, just move on.

When I watched the trailer, I was not interested to watch the drama. The trailer was not able to convey the good qualities of the drama. However, I am glad that I gave it a chance to watch it.

This drama is intricately beautiful. It was based on the novel with the same title. The drama focused on the life story of Ming lan, who was born in the Chinese imperial era. She was born from a concubine who was not favored by her father. Her father already had a legal wife and concubine Lin by his side. He was the type of person who loved high and good reputation and liked to avoid trouble. Without her father protection, Ming Lan and her mother had to suffer being abused by concubine Lin. Ming Lan grew up to become a person who was able to discern a person's behavior and motive behind them. She used that ability to act accordingly and protect herself. I really like Ming Lan. She is a very interesting main character and a great role model too. She is not your typical naivete and the weak lady who need to be protected, although she pretended to be one. She is actually an assertive, brave and can be ruthless and cunning if she needed to be.

The drama had a very strong nuance about the culture of China in the past. Which is very interesting too. A lot of the lines dialogues had hidden meaning and it was very interesting to see each person masked their emotion, going on a circle to confess one's intention. Sometimes it helps to rewatch the drama and pay attention to the lines which were spoken.

The love story is also bittersweet. The chemistry between the main leads is amazing (maybe because they are husband wife in real life too?). I love how their relationship was slowly being built in the drama, and how their characters who were the exact opposite were able to complement each other. Together they were unbeatable.

My problems with the drama were the fact that there were too many characters being introduced and the fact that Molan was being accepted back into the family. Those characters had a certain role which was important for the plot. Like the Wang family of Ming Lan's stepmother. They are too many to the point makes it hard for you to remember them.

Regarding Molan, she did not deserve to be forgiven. She looked very docile at the end which was pretty fast for her to turn around after so many years being abusive? She did suffer and reap what she sowed. But her transition being back into the family felt weird.

The drama told a story about the life of Shuzaku Kitazawa and his family. His family had bad personalities, cared about appearance and they never treated him kindly. Each episode is very bizarre but entertaining with every kind of antics that his family brings and Shusaku ended up being the person who had to commit crimes to solve the problem without being appreciated.

I find the drama is quite refreshing and unique. I like Yamada's funny expression and he acted very well. Although I find some of the jokes can be quite overwhelming and sometimes too ridiculous.Like why they have to treat him badly to the point that it did not make sense at all? Shusaku too had a slave mentality about his own family. At the near end of the series, there is one surprising fact about Shusaku true identity and why he had always been different. The ending was somewhat unexpected and had a bittersweet ending. Although I wish there are more scenes to show the changed in the new Kitazawa family. But Japanese drama had always preferred a subtle ending.

In conclusion, the drama is entertaining. It's a good drama to watch when you want to see something that makes you laugh.

This whole series is just mindblowing. The drama is very complex with a lot of plots intertwined with each other. It is complex but can be very subtle as well. I find myself having to repeat some of the episodes to figure out all the hints. But it worth to rewatch and you won't get bored.

First, let's talk about the casts. I'm actually happy that Joo Ji Hoon is playing the crown prince. There was a talk about Song Jong Ki being cast for the role, but he rejected it. I'm not saying that Jong Ki is not a good actor, but Joo Ji Hoon has more experiences playing complex characters and I find his image is more suitable with the drama. Also, good job for the team to cast experienced actor and actresses like Bae Do Na and Ryu Seung Ryong.

Second the plots. It is based on a web manwha but it took a completely different setting and story but still keep the basic idea. The conflict started when the Cho clan was taking control of the power. The king was ill and it was still a mystery about how he became a monster. Was it because of the mysterious illness that he had or was it because he was resurrected with the resurrection plant? He definitely became an undead brainless monster who ate human. The prime minister Cho, who was also the Queen's father hid the fact and tried to keep the facade that the king was still alive and well until the Queen gave birth to the heir.

Meanwhile, the main character, our crown prince was also the king child but not from the Queen. The Queen was actually looked much younger than the crown prince but she had more power than him. The crown prince suspected that the king was actually already dead, but he had no proof and he was not able to visit his father due to the Queen's interferences. He was finally being framed for traitor and had to run away while also tried to pursue the truth. The crown prince followed the lead of one of his father physician to found out that the man had died and there was a zombie plague started to spread out.

Once a person was bitten by a zombie, he would turn into one. Apparently, these zombies became inactive during the day and became truly died when beheaded or burned. And they also enabled to swim.

The episodes were shorts with only 6 episodes. But the show has invested a lot of money into the production and each episode is very high quality like a blockbuster movie. Season 2 has been confirmed and I hope that it will continue to be amazing or more than the season 1. I had a lot of expectations and can't wait for it.

The story is cliche, but it can still hook you quite a bit. The story is full of many cute moments of the main couple that save the entire series from being bad. For a drama that is being supported by Netflix, I find the quality is very disappointing. The story plot is weak and the drama while having a lot of good casts, it looked like being made with a low budget. The main male character is good looking and cunning, but head over heel with the main lady. If you are a romanticist by heart and love cheesy stuff, this drama can be for you.
