Mmm, yeahh,, i dunno,, I'm on first ep. & this is giving me a very common American TV vibe. I guess that's why it's on Disney? XD So far story feels like an outdated 90's show idea of overly romanticized leading lady meets bodyguard action romance, fitting for teenage girls. Somewhat bigger budget but seemingly a waste of the leads' talent. Many awkward acting moments, and unnecessarily cringe "romantic" scenes that's really unnatural. LOL. I'm still going to see how this goes, but yeah.
1. Everyone in the story seems very straightforward. They're either naive or still have integrity even when they're doing bad things. rotfl
2. In their fast paced chess match between the leads, evidence sure are found and used up in no time at all, lol. Everything moves so smoothly. Also they're so smart it takes a split second to think about the next move after being dealt a huge blow.
3. It's so funny that every time actress Im Se Mi's character appear on screen she's always frantically running somewhere XD
4. The writers/creators must be devout Christians. The amount of analogy taken from the story of Jesus makes it seem Christianity is a given for everyone in the story :D
5. A few modern English terms thrown here and there is a bit odd like there's a disconnect between the younger generational script with the older generation actors who wouldn't likely be using them. This includes the odd part I feel about the president smoking e-cig despite being on the older side.
6. That prosecutor best friend of the ML may be righteous, but he was definitely on the verge of being a naive righteous idiot in the beginning.
7. It's so weird how when everyone else uses the others' family to either pressure take advantage of each other, the ML's is out of the question. No one seems to be targeting his for some reason. The same goes for how the ML only has a one track mind towards his own goal and doesn't seem to be concerned with or have any interaction with his own family throughout all this.
I find it odd that they chose an e-cig to be smoked by the president, who's of older age. I rather think it's more prevalently used by the younger generations.
I used to think the same that they were making only manga dramas for girls but after I saw some different ones…
Thanks for the recommendation :) That's a good plenty to add on to my already sizeable plan to watch list now XD Hopefully I can get around to watching them some time in the near future. 😃

Really? Probably because I don't only focus on watching J dramas, I tend to watch whatever is popular for convenience sake, because whatever is popular gets on my radar :D I still think this is the most normal and touching one compared to even the "proper" ones ( to use your term) I've watched. Since I'm one of those people who watch for pleasure, the other realistic ones I've seen are either too dark and heavy, or too uncomfortable for my taste. But I feel differently with this one since I enjoy watching it so much. Anyway, thank you for the lists :)
Wow.. This I think, may just be one of THE BEST Jdorama I've seen. Ever. It's the most emotionally relatable and meaningful, unlike other mainstream ones that tend to be weirdly nonsensical and disconnected from reality. This one has a lot of weight, especially for a Japanese drama. It for sure leaves you with a deep impression. I absolutely would love it if there were to be a sequel in the future.
I've only noticed Lee Hye Young now , and I have to say she's such an interesting seasoned actress. I especially find her voice so mesmerizing. Something in the way she speaks and I guess the tone of her voice instantly transports me into the middle of a story-telling session. That voice is just perfect as a fairy-tale narrator. I am so amazed every time I listen to her :D
What went through my head while watching this drama in progression: 1. Hmm, okay, typical story,, huh,, why are they playing American football here instead of soccer? 2. Alright I'm starting to emphatize with FL, I wonder what could be that "big secret reason" of hers ? And all these other people can just go crash and burn- except for the wronged ML ofcourse. 3. Tsch, that's it? That's her "big" reasoning? I don't understand how that could even be one of the foundation of the whole story ( Lost any sympathy for FL, don't even know why I'm watching this anymore) 4. (Watching just for the sake of watching at this point) 5. I don't know what the heck is going on with that final ep. There's so many twist & turns and things that don't make sense jammed into that one final ep, it's confusing & making me conflicted. Whatever they tried to do there just can't salvage anything. 6. Okay , oh whatever, couldn't care less. Geezz,,,
Fyi this one has a rapist in it,and removed bl from a bl novel
I understand that's what most people in this comment section is taking issue with, but I'm looking at it purely from a drama-watcher perspective, not considering other things, and objectively it's pretty good like the usual dramas. The sexual offender you mentioned is I think already old news, perhaps 2-3 years ago? He's been in SO MANY dramas afterwards, it's surprising everyone is blowing up on just this drama because of it. The BL I'm not familiar with because I don't consume that genre, and so objectively speaking I have nothing against this drama.
Every time I see Roh Jeong Eui she looks different in each of her dramas. It looks to me she's always progressively done some face alterations each time. I can't pin point what specifically though. I only notice she filled her teeth gap in her earlier days and did some work on them.
