That is a very good observation. I watched the series, well the first 4 episodes again and she did say that to…
No, I meant, them getting together (and possibly kissing?) while he's possessing Yun Gap's body It makes me feel... meh, especially when we're still not sure whether YG likes her in return and would himself touch her and kiss her and all of that Yeo Ri often reminds him to be careful not to get hurt for this very reason: it's not his body So them getting romantically/physically involved while he's possessing it... I don't know, I don't know I love their bickering and the soft moments they had, but I couldn't fully enjoy them because I kept thinking about the actual Yun Gap (had a similar feeling with AoS) I hope the writers thought about a more moral solution if they really do end up a romantic couple (his human façade while spirit becomes physical, material or she becomes a spirit), although it might be just me finding a problem with it And there's still that one vision of her with YG and the little girl to consider... but perhaps she read it wrong and the girl is not her daughter but YG and young lady Choi's? Or GC really stays in the body and starts a family with YR We'll see, we'll see, I really want to know how they're developing this part of the plot
Those theories are both so good I'd actually feel disappointed if the show doesn't do just that
You make some valid point, especially regarding YR's reason to be still this fond/infatuated after so many years I also believe GC has been gradually growing sort of protective of her as she grew up, even if just to keep her alive and use her to ascend, but any other sort of feelings would have been weird, considering her very young age at the time He's seen her as a literal child and then followed her around until her maturity, the age gap is crazy when you think about it (thousand of years and twenty six is A LOT)
That is a very good observation. I watched the series, well the first 4 episodes again and she did say that to…
I have already been told that in kdramas it's not weird or a problem, but I really don't like the idea of things physical and romantic happening while he's in the body of another man It's fictional and all of that, but this idea really makes me kind of uneasy
That is a very good observation. I watched the series, well the first 4 episodes again and she did say that to…
I also feel Yun Gap only sees Yeo Ri as an old friend/sister I should probably rewatch the earliest episodes, but the way he talks about her and to her didn't feel romantic, from what I remember It's probably a one-sided love... and even like that it seems a bit forced on her part, because we've seen too few interactions between them as kids and, well, they haven't seen each other in so many years, how is her infatuation still so strong? I'm most curious to see how they're going to deal with that, if they manage to put his soul back in his body, he doesn't love Yeo Ri back and is actually infatuated with the young lady Choi (she definitely is into him) Oh, the drama and the angst that could potentially unfold
At this rate, it'll probably get an autumn/end of the year release, if we're lucky I don't know how long it usually takes for a drama to air after getting the license, but I don't think this one even passed censorship yet and it's the half of May already
Oh dear, is it only me who can't tell who is who among the ministers serving in the court? Who is the elderly…
They're not really focusing on the political aspect of the court, so they all kind of feel faceless among the crowd, except for the Minister of War, nobleman Choi (who's not technically at court right now) and the King's maternal grandfather (a prime minister of sorts)
Actually, it now seems that we might have a chance of having him as the male lead🤭 I low-key hope we’ll get…
To be fair, dramas descriptions on this site are never quite clear or related to the actual plot I read the description, go in expecting a certain thing and it turns out to be an almost completely different story Or sometimes they just spoil the major points of the plot sigh
It's probably bad to say, but I always skip the 10 stars reviews or the ones where they state "it's the best show ever" or "pure perfection" Between 5 and 8 stars is usually where you find the most objective reviews, in my opinion
The King better get to live happily ever after with his cute little family. Has there ever been a better one in…
I remember liking the king from Under the Queen's Umbrella. He was a decent man with brains and definitely not a puppet. The Haunted Palace king reminds me a bit of him, he's not afraid of stepping into the game and risk his life for the things and people he stands for (and he loves and respects his queen dearly)
Unrelated to the drama itself, but this page is probably one of the best I've been following so far There is no hate nor spamming or attacking actors/characters - or perhaps I missed them, but it really feels like a safe space in which to share comments, theories and questions about the drama It makes me enjoy the Haunted Palace all the more
They go from an Imugi (bigger monster snake) to a dragon. He was jinxed by a human seeing him ascend after cultivating…
I understand that, but what confuses me is that since the beginning they made it look like the only way for an imugi to ascend as dragon was by cultivating (and find a great shaman to get rid of the jinx of being seen in his case), but then Bi Bi came into the picture, so now we know there are at least two ways to create good karma and ascend. I am confused and have questions regarding this new addition to the "rule". How do they decide? Can they change it? And is it an obligation for them to ascend, or can they opt to remain simple imugi in the mortal world? Also, how a shaman simply praying for him was going to "cleanse" him while he actively brought misfortune and didn't care one bit for humans? His past actions guided by hatred and resentment feel like a lot more bad karma than mistakenly being seen, so would it actually have worked if she agreed to have him as guardian spirit when she was 13? Unless we'll later find out that he never actually harmed anyone and secretly helped humans even before leeching himself to Yeo Ri, him ascending after all his misdeeds merely because of the help of a shaman feels like a cheat. I much more prefer the path he's taking right now: slowly getting to know humans, caring and feeling pity for them and working himself for his own good karma.
I'm not sure I want to see them end up together while he's possessing a dead body tho
From what I understood, the body is dead dead, but Gang Cheol's divine presence is preventing it from rotting But, besides that, it's still another man's body, so I really hope they won't become a couple or get physical while he's possessing it, that's what I meant Like, I understand it's fictional and fantasy, but it would just be wrong And I really hope they'll manage to save Yun Gap's soul (if not put it back into his body, at least free him from the 8 feet spirit), because with all the "side quests" of the latest episodes, his situation has been put a little to the side and we don't know what the 8 feet ghost has done with him after grabbing him back That scene happened a long time ago now, so I hope they'll save him and gave him some sort of closure at least (and let the mother say goodbye to him)
1. I don't know, but best guess it's like communal living for blind folks to help them in their daily lives though…
Yes, that's what confuses me a bit. Shamanism is forbidden from the capital and the palace, but the way they shot scenes, the Bureau seems very close to it and the blind men from the Bureau (who are known to be shamans) can enter the palace grounds freely. Hopefully we will get new informations and some explanations in the episodes to come. We are halfway through already and still a lot has to happen.

He had his fingertips black with the smoke and ashes of the 8-feet ghost fire
I'll love to see how they're going to connect everything
