.. and just like that Kubota Masataka ranks up there with the best actors I know. He killed this role, he absolutely nailed it. His acting alone is already worth watching. His transformation from Yagami Light to "Kira" was nothing short of phenomenal.
Much like Sato Takeru is the perfect actor to play as Kenshin in the Rurouni Kenshin films, Kubota Masataka is the only one who should play as Yagami Light, PERIOD.
This drama just shows Haru Kuroki is miles better than Aragaki Yui in terms of acting.
I love Gakki, big fan really and while she is considered a top actress (as in popularity wise) in Japan but admittedly *in my opinion*, while she has showcased a variety of characters and her acting range in drama & films throughout her acting career with best actress/supporting actress awards here and there, she has never been one of those actresses that would blow you away with top notch acting (if i can be nitpicky, imo there hasn't been a very complex role for her to play yet that demands oscar-worthy acting so far because the roles she tackles tend to be *safe*).
Yes, she's huuuge in Japan and has a lovely personality and yes, she's very pleasant to look at but her acting is pretty much just good and that's perfectly fine, she could only improve from here on out. Never over the top, always delivered scenes the way they were meant to be handled/delivered but never anything mind-blowing or over the top and really, there's not much to talk about other than she's just simply good with her acting, better than your average actor. Also she always picks good projects to work on, so there's that to consider if anyone is planning to go through her filmography.
edit: just finished watching it, haru's role here is very much less demanding (acting-wise) compared to yui idk how you can come up with that conclusion
in the final episode, after it was revealed that Nakado used ethlene glycol on Shishido (around 38 minutes), did he want to put him in a state of unconcious and then have Kibayashi cremate Shishido while he's unconcious and still alive? can anyone confirm this?
Those who have finished this drama or haven't started watching this drama, do consider watching the japanese drama https://mydramalist.com/3661-legal-high it is far superior, sorry.
yeah agree, they could have keep the tension for much longer and made the revelation much more "wow damn"but then…
Yeah I worded that very terribly sorry, reading it back I dont know what i was trying to say. I meant for the students that's hasn't done anything or has anything to do with the incident so hiiragi just gives everyone food
I'm 4 episodes in but I love how they all converse. interact and banter with each other is very natural (pun not intended). It really does come off as natural and realistic
kinda rude but ok. there's nothing wrong with checking out a drama just because of the actor. You could tune in just to look at him the whole time or maybe admire his acting skills
I don't know if you're joking but these are characters, okay? This is also based off the manga so everything that…
I am fully aware that you can watch a movie without knowing anything about the anime or manga, jesus christ. I'm simply voicing my opinion on your statements and informing you a few things about what the series is like, that's all. sorry for having such a condescending attitude, i couldn't fathom the things you were saying
I cannot deal with the amount of abuse in this show. That aside, as OTT as the characters are and as slapstick…
the amount of abuse is absolutely not meant to be taken seriously. Clearly the way it's portrayed that it's meant to be taken as comedy, just like how anime characters kick someone and they fly to the moon lol
