I understand Jake is the main character and the main plot but you can't introduce subplots for the supporting characters and dismiss all of those just because they're not the main character lol, that's just poor writing (unless there's a continuation). I'm about to watch the final episode and see how it goes anyway.

As for the characters not being in the book, it's safe to assume this series is loosely based on the book at this point, is my guess.

I get that but I was mainly referring to how there's lots of arcs/subplots revolving around the characters that I don't see getting a proper closure without getting rushed or being left out in the open in this one final episode.

The show is really good for the most part but I just don't know they'll be able to wrap everything up in just one episode this week. Season two perhaps?

Sho is SERVING in this, you definitely don't want to miss out on his character here. Hideaki hasn't done much so far but he's always stealing the scene every time he shows up.

Good thrilling first episode and both Takahashi Issei & Kou Shibasaki already acting their butts off, as expected~

Uru singing the OST for this drama alone bumps the rating up for me

The plot is sooo similar to My Boss My Hero, only that he actually *wants* to be a normal high schooler.

Somewhat related but Ishida Hikari's Maririn also LOVES to smoke too but I didn't think they'd ever have Mio smoking (nor can I imagine it tbh lol) so it didn't surprise me when they cut that part of her character

It's staying true to her character's hair in the manga, though I do think I much prefer Maririn's hair from the 1992 version.
