Honestly, I really don’t understand the constant slander toward people who want to see intimacy in shows. It’s…
Nah cuz they’re really out here acting like the second someone mentions wanting to see a kiss or any kind of intimacy, we’re all suddenly fetishizers. 😭😭😭
Not everything has to be that deep. Wanting to see a couple we’ve been rooting for finally get close, be vulnerable, and show their love physically doesn’t mean we want porn...there’s already more than enough of that online if that’s what someone’s after. That’s not the point here.
some ppl have been making it seem like concerns about the nc scenes being edited or taken out are just about wanting…
Honestly, I really don’t understand the constant slander toward people who want to see intimacy in shows. It’s not some forbidden taboo 🤓. Intimacy is a natural part of romance, especially in stories where it plays a significant emotional role. And in this case, like you said, it’s very clearly part of the dynamic. So what if people want to see it???
If those scenes were filmed, then clearly the writers intended for them to happen, the actors committed to them, and the director saw value in including them. It’s not just some fan fantasy being forced out of nowhere. So why shouldn't we, as the audience, be allowed to experience the full version of the story they crafted?
I genuinely don’t get the attitude on MDL where any mention of NC scenes gets met with immediate insults or eye-rolling. It’s immature. Intimate scenes are a part of most romantic media, whether they’re soft or messy. Sometimes they’re pivotal for character growth. And in this story in particular, the sexual tension is off the charts. It’s not subtle, it’s pretty central if u ask me.
So yeah, some of us want to see what was clearly built up and promised. That’s not being thirsty, it’s just wanting the story to be told in full.
LITERALLY! that is such an easy explanation that would sooth ppl’s worries so much and protects tian from more…
I’m 100% with you on this. Even VIU, when they made their announcement, said the postponement was due to the company's request... and now suddenly it’s about the Thai dubbing? Yeah, that really doesn’t add up LMAO 💀💀💀 But alright, sure, we’ll play along.
I guess we will see when the episode finally airs again...if it ends up being 39 minutes or even shorter, then we’ll know it was cut or re-edited.
Their miscommunication is what makes me suspect that the Thai dub explanation is fake news. If it was sth as simple…
It really does sound like an excuse at this point because honestly, nothing about it adds up. This whole situation is being handled like absolute shit. And if their goal was to reduce harassment or protect anyone involved, then congratulations...they’ve done the exact opposite.
They’ve made things worse. Now everyone’s turning their frustration directly at Tian, attacking him like he’s the one who made the decision. The hate he’s receiving right now is completely out of control.
If they think this was a smart move, they seriously need a reality check. Because instead of calming things down, they’ve escalated the entire situation to a new level. They should come out again quickly and give a proper explanation 💀
I think it is clear that they were monitoring the situation, and trying to determine if things would settle down.…
I’ll be blunt...this isn’t helping the situation at all. In fact, it’s making everything worse. Right now, those completely unhinged fans are throwing fire at Tian, blaming him for the delay, dragging his name through the dirt like it’s his fault. This kind of vague announcement doesn’t protect anyone.
This is not how you shield your actors. This is how you throw them to the wolves. Fans are already going off the rails...there are people sending death threats to Tian, flooding him with hate messages, and blaming him for the delay saying it's his fault.
If the intention was to de-escalate things or buy time, this was the worst way to go about it because it now has escalated
LITERALLY! that is such an easy explanation that would sooth ppl’s worries so much and protects tian from more…
Honestly, I’m not fully buying the whole dubbing issue excuse because that still doesn’t explain why there was complete radio silence for days. If dubbing was really the problem, they could’ve said that immediately. But fine, I’ll choose to believe it for now. What really pisses me off, though, is the fact that the author had the time and grace to reply to an individual message and explain the situation, but somehow didn’t think to include that information in the official statement where most people would actually see it.
That kind of disorganization is unbelievable. The post they made was so vague and empty that people are still left confused, and meanwhile, Tian is getting dragged through hell again. Do they not realize what they’re doing to him? Do they not care? This man is under insane pressure, and we’ve already seen him cry...twice...in public, and now they’ve just handed the haters more ammo by being vague and careless.
If the issue really lies with the Thai dubbing, then why not just say that outright? It’s not that hard. A simple, clear explanation would’ve gone a long way in calming people down. But once again, their communication is just... agh, completely lacking. And now, they are dragging Tian across the fucking asphalt with insult after insult because of it.
It’s exhausting and infuriating to watch. If they had just told us what’s going on, we wouldn’t be in this mess. People wouldn’t be so quick to point fingers and attack someone who’s already under enough pressure.
Honestly, please work on your professionalism 💀 Because this is not it.
I'm sorry, but the way this entire situation has been handled is downright unprofessional and insulting to the viewers who have been supporting the show from day one. That post offered no real explanation. Just vague nonsense about a "better viewing experience"? Seriously? Then where was the communication these past few days? Radio silence while fans were left confused, anxious, and waiting? You don’t go completely MIA and then return with a half-assed, empty post that clarifies nothing. 😭
I know something is clearly going on behind the scenes, and instead of being transparent, they’re feeding us vague PR lines and hoping we’ll swallow it quietly. Well, no. It is fucked up that we have no clarity. Are we getting cuts? Will the episodes be shortened? What are we waiting for exactly? Because VIU said a week delay, but the official post says they’re going to announce a “new airing schedule.” That doesn’t sound like a one-week delay. That sounds like weeks....maybe even longer.
It makes no sense. What do they think they’re achieving by pausing everything? Do they really believe that if they stop airing, Tian’s situation is going to magically improve? If anything, this is only making it worse. Now the blame is getting pinned on him even more because they will assume it's his fault that it got postponed which is just making it worst for him.
I just read the comments below. Sooo after binge watching 10 episodes in a single night, you're telling me there's…
Don't worry. Desire isn’t getting canceled, and neither is this. The Chinese government can’t control international releases, and while Revenged Love was banned domestically, that’s a separate case. People are just spreading rumors, but there's no international ban and there won't be one. At most, there might be a slight delay, maybe a week due to some issues with one of the actors. But that’s it. Everything else is just noise.
Didn't he say to Shuai they didn't go all the way?! 🤔 I'm confused 🤭 is it the subtitles?
In the novel, he fingered him, thats why he said they did not go all the way but they did try to from what i can remember, it did not work though because suowei was in pain and chi cheng softened LMAO
I want to know if they are even allowed to do more edit when it has already been distributed to the sites they…
It depends on the licensing agreement between the streaming platform and the original production company.
Episodes are often delivered one at a time so they don't necessarily have it all. ( I hope they do tho LMAO) But technically, yes the main company can still edit scenes out before the episode is sent to Viki or GagaOOLala.
Okay. Y'all are getting mad at everyone freaking out but this is the exact same thing that happened with untamed…
The way we’re all collectively traumatized LMFAO 😭
But yeah, honestly, I was getting kind of frustrated with everyone constantly commenting “it’s gonna get banned” before anything even happened but in today's case, I get it. I think it’s totally natural for people to freak out this time. They’ve gone completely silent, and the only "official" platform that gave us a statement deleted it right after, leaving everyone even more confused. It’s just a mess.
I still don't think there is any risk of a ban, the risk of re-editing might be there though which is probably the main thing that has everyone lose their minds.

We just want to see the full emotional arc. 🐍💋

I’m genuinely angry at the team right now.

This is not how you treat your audience.
