This drama, foremost, established KHJ as one of my favourite actresses and KHJ and JJH as one of my favourite pairings. KHJ is not only gorgeous but her acting was phenomenal. I literally forgot that the twins weren't being played by two different characters. Plus the shift from the Ice Queen to the impulsive version of her and back again was amazing. She is one of my favourite female characters - I think her character as HG was written quite well for the most part.
In terms of the chemistry, what can one even say about it. They lit the screen on fire together. KHJ and JJH, by far, have some of the most intense, natural and electric chemistry i've seen in Asian dramas. They are what made watching the show worthwhile. I watched Undercover recently and am further convinced of it.
[The music only added to the intensity. The tracks are on my evergreen list] As for the plot, i do have a number of issues with it but i do appreciate the overall theme of diving into the complicated emotions and relationship between the leads. Their journey of acknowledging and accepting their mistakes, their process of redemption, seeing each other more completely with flaws, most importantly healing were the plus points for me. The drama shows you how emotions aren't simple, there is no clean break and as long as your heart is inclined towards someone, you're bound to just run around in circles until you accept it. You don't really get to see this kind of complex mature, and deep process in most asian dramas. Among 99% of fluffy love, this was a nice break but mainly because of the actors.
By the end i was exhausted with the story line. They should have ended it somewhere between 30 and 40 episodes max. The 50 thing killed it in the end.
It's one of the most frusterating drama's I've ever watched, completely mind spinning. While i liked the concept and the acting was fantastic, the antagonists made my head hurt. I've never disliked any 2nd lead so much. You need alot of paitence and fastforwarding to get through this. It's literally the definition of melodrama/
