In ep 1, the original ML in Joseon times died of what we later find out is poisoning. He was alive in the last episode because the FL was sent back before he dies. Also I may be wrong but she didnāt marry the Joseon ML at the end because she loved the modern day ML.
Ater Joseon ML died, the FLās āleap of faithā in the last episodeā¦ she didnāt know sheād be brought back to the modern day ML.

He has make it fairly clear that is not an option. Although, Iāve noticed that many a great many KDramas donāt have āthe good charactersā set clear and confident boundaries to those that try to control them.
