Esther has a larger fanbase, intl and in China. Trends on wb are mostly bought, instead of it being actually popular and becoming a trend naturally. SS's fanbase is smaller, but she does have a large viewership among local Chinese, those ones that watch her drama when it's on but not really a loyal fan of anyone. If you are talking about tiktok, and the other western social media, again larger fanbase, plus Esther is also an idol and attended an idol competition so her fanbase is def larger. and one more thing, ss doesn't really attend reality or variety shows. She's the type that films drama and disappear for a month or two and reappear to promote her drama and and the film new drama and disappear again.

I see ratings already made for future eps but it hasn’t even aired yet. Honestly, I wouldn’t take mdl ratings to heart, I mean it would be great if it’s higher here but what truly matters is the Chinese ratings, and it’s doing well
