Point being, you are not that invested in secondary characters, the drama does not make or break due to them. If some one else wants to take up the secondary characters consistency, you won't see me objecting to it. Does not mean I should be forced to doing it.

I am yet to see a ML crying over a girl like a wimp in front the FL. have watched dozens where the FL cries in front of the ML over a guy, never the other way around.
When this is an established pattern, it points to a misogynistic thinking in whoever is making these dramas.

Ir is regressive if the same trope is used in multiple dramas - because it forms a pattern at that point.

Have had enough of asian dramas that project their FL so pathetic.
You never see asian drama ML weepy over girls in front the FL. This trope where only the girl always is shown as crying is so regressive. projecting these women as some one who can't live without men, especially men who never cared for them or loved them...does anyone not find watching this uncomfortable?

I don't mind the cliche CEO-employee romances.
They can be light and entertaining, if done right. The immediate one that comes to my mind would be 'whats wrong with secretary kim'.
It had all the cliches but they did it right for the most part. Looking at the ML and FL, you can easily guess they cared for each other and eventually developed feelings for each other. On their own, FL and ML were likable and since the main focus was romance, they did most things right, including the love triangle.

BP took the worst possible cliches and some how made it even worse.
The webtoon was very good, the author showed the progression of characters in way as readers you could see and understand.
The first half of the webtoon was mostly the FL journey from getting over her crush to falling in love with the ML. In that journey the FL falls in love, doubts herself and eventually realizes she was as pathetic as her crush & decides to be brave to fight for her love of ML.
The drama messes this up.
Where is the FL journey that shown in the webtoon? She is weeping over her crush one day and the next day she is jealous over another. That's just not what happens in the webtoon. The drama just murders this part and includes the worst possible cliches. This in turn makes the FL look absolutely horrible. it makes her look like she is with the ML since her first choice of love is not available.

been watching '2521' 'crazy love' and 'forecasting love and weather', all of them are pretty good.
'2521' is not primarily romance but it does romance 100 times better than this crap. You could actually see their journey, why they fell in love and why they cared for each other. It's like eating a nice french 5 course dinner with fine wine.
BP on the other hand is like eating mcdonalds burger made by a guy who didn't wash his hands after taking a dump.

dear lord, why are most Asian romances so shitty?! I thought it was unique thing to Cdramas. Now I see it is common in Kdramas as well. Don't know about other asian dramas....are the FL and ML so pathetic and cold in most asian countries dramas?!

Drama poses some interesting questions through 4 couples.

With main couple, the ML is not ready to marry and the FL does not want to give it all because of her fears. Both are red flags when looking for a partner. Unless these 2 are willing to be upfront about these red-flags, they have no business dating anyone. The character growth for these two probably would be in this area.

With second couple, it's broken trust, regret and not meeting the expectations. This relationship is pretty much doomed. They don't match each other in any sense. There is really no bridging that.

The guy who has never been with his family is getting more and more exposed. The wife is imagining things BUT it's that guy who has never made an effort to be with his family. No one pushed him away for years, he chose to stay away. He comes back years later and unsurprisingly all he seems are couple of strangers and decides to bail again.
Worse, he goes to another woman's house to stay, which basically is a punch in the gut for his wife. He really needs to buckle up and grovel.

The guy who want's to study is toxic.
At his age responsibility triumphs everything else. His wife is an angel. She was willing to go through tough times to support his ambitions and he pulls a crapper on her.
The guy needs a beating.

BP is absolute shitFest.

The FL is pathetic with little growth & the ML comes across as a creep.
The show is just about romance & nothing else. There is absolutely no other plot to this story. but the progression of romance for FL and ML make little sense.

It's hard to swallow that the FL was weeping over her crush in front of ML and then few days later is deeply in love with him. The FL in BP is possibly the most pathetic FL I have seen in Cdramas. These FL's are fairly common in Cdramas though.

Except for the names of the characters, there is very little in the drama from the webtoon.

The drama is a bundle of vomit inducing cliches, perhaps liked by 10 year old girls with fantasies of a prince coming to sweep them off their feet to happiness - and the drama can't even do that right.

The ML has more make up on his face than the rest of the cast combined has on theirs.
It's hard to look at his face with heavy make up and tell yourself this man is CEO and still spends hours each day to cover his face in heavy makeup.
Worse is how his character is portrayed & the TRAUMA that every Asian male CEO's seems to have.

Watching the drama one does not know why the ML who is 30 year old, been around the world, having met girls from different cultures and walks of life finds only the FL attractive and decides to finally enter puberty.

The FL is unconvincing in how she went from wailing over failed love of 7 years to the ML. The only explanation is rebound.
