ML is shown to have no self respect or iota of dignity. His only role in the drama was to be a simp for FL, desperately in love with her and lick her feet and be eternally grateful that she chose him over her other love, the 2ML.

At least that's how the drama portrayed it.

Cdrama romance 101 - throw as many men as possible at FL. Make as many men grope FL. Make ML jealous, pure, virgin and desperately in love with FL. the only difficult thing FL does in any Cdrama love story is choosing ML from the multiple men she has feelings for.

This basically is each and every Cdrama romance and now a days even Kdrama romance.

S3 is a lot better than S2. S1 still remains the best. Where S1 you were always fearful that someone, including the ML could die, in S3, you know nothing can kill the ML. It could have used a super villain to raise the stakes.
S3 plays to the drama's strengths which is the main characters, the protagonist and antagonist.

Episode 8 was confusing, especially the last 20 mins.
They could have taken bit of time to flesh out why the bad guy could take over a body and even change shape, which he could not do before. Last episode also suffered from editing issues.

Wonder if an episode or two extra could have helped them.
