I alwasy enjoy cooking competitions in dramas. It's great the family came together at the end of it. The time spent on the FL's brother's story is mostly a downer for me. I want to zip through it but the other characters are so lovable that I don't want to miss them. The spy sent by the Prince also succumed to the family's charms and became ineffective. Lin Yan is his usual capable self with a soft heart. Just when are these two going to get a little smooch?
I'm still sticking with it even though it become too repetitive. The parents and the brother are unlikable so I skip through a lot of their screen time. Love Lin Yan and Yangyang the most. The female lead is doing a good job with her innovative smarts and likable personality. I don't like how she is treating Lin Yan and would think she would be smart enough to find a way around whatever the impediments are to their happiness. The Princess is another interesting character but totally wasted on that wishy washy Pei Fei. Waiting to see if there will be retribution for the characters who harmed Lin Yan's family. I'm hoping for a happy ending for the good 'guys'.
Well, it's done and dusted and I'm tryint to decide what rating to give. Was it perfect or near perfect? The ending had much red blood, black blood and bad blood flowing. Sharp objects piercing everything left and right. Hard done by Jingshi showed that living a tortured life does not enoble anyone. The from enemies to lovers couple looked sublime and sanguice at the end. There are different than expected people on throne. Who knows how that will work out? Great work by all involved. The production from costumes to sets was sublime. The action immense. The actors and writers gave us much pleasure. Sequel?
Does Susha Emperor know that his brother is still alive? Did Murong inform Empress Dowager that Feng Sui Ge's…
You're right. When I look at his past dramas I realize I've watched most of them but he seems to have been able to inhabit different characters that I didn't notice they were this particular actor. Good job.
Does Susha Emperor know that his brother is still alive? Did Murong inform Empress Dowager that Feng Sui Ge's…
I don't remember the details, but it seems that neither his sister (the Princess) nor the new Emperor are convinced Suige is dead. By the way the young naive version of him has been replaced by a much more savy version. We've got six episodes to go and a lot of revenge to deal out.
Ep. 32 That Storm Alliance sounds like it's taken a wrong turn since Suige's mother founded it. The plotters are all over the place getting ready to pounce. Not much of an alliance, more like a twister. The Princess is getting more bad a**ed by the minute. She's setting up her 'beloved'. Will she succeed? The new Emperor of Susha is proding the little official because he can't believe what he is being told about the crimes his older 'brother' is supposed to have committed. Now suspicion has been cast on his mother, the Dowager Empress. What to do?
Ep. 31 If the beloved characters can't really die the weapons always hit the 'sweet spot' . Yixiao is still in his heart but she will sacrifice anything to be back in Suige's memories. Yinyang is loving the abuse he's suffering at the Princess' hands and wants to shower her with roses. His Mom on the other hand wants her dead and wants Jingshi to capture Susha. All that for a couple of brown pills.
Ep. 30 It's all gone to sh*t. Princess has given up her virtue to the tyrant. Yixiao has risked all to restore Suige's sight and he suddenly sees his worst enemy before passing out in a stupor. What will tomorrow bring?
Ep. 29 The Princess has grown a pair. Her tormentor is liking the experience of pain to go with his sadistic tendencies. Her 'ex' is in full revolt. The Storm Alliance is not showering Feng SuiGe with love but YiXiao is there channeling his mother. Both kingdoms, Susha and Jinxiu, are up for grabs.
Ep. 28 The Murongs are on a tear to wipe out Suige's faction. Even the Hound and Gu Yu have bitten the dust. YiXiao has days to get him to Storm Alliance. The Empress has moved up to become Empress Dowager is busy convincing her naive son his brother is a ruthless killer. The proclamation has been posted and now 'fact' in everyone's mind.
Ep. 27 Drip, drip, drip, slosh, slosh, slosh. You can almost hear the blood flowing and the hands washing it away. The trap is laid. The Prince and his drunken revellers get outmaneuvered. Even the archer is asleep on the job. The empress is ashen. The loveable eunuch is stabbed in the back. There's no end to the fallen.
Ep. 26 She never seems to run out of arrows and he can take two or more with his sword at a time. That's why they are our HEROES! Time for revenge. The Prime Minister's plan blows up in his face. The he gets to do the Perp walk. The twisted Emperor is waiting for him to arrive for the showdown.
Ep. 25 Consumation. Is that what we've all been waiting for? It's always good to have love in your life. No doubt the morning-after glow will fade soon given what's ahead. The Empress and the Princess are deprived. Murong Yoa and the Prime Minister are depraved. Murong Yoa's dad is doing penance while hobling to see the Emperor, the Empress is enduring being ignored and the Emperor is seeing ghosts. None of them have a leg to stand on. These are all thorny issues.
Ep 24. First off I have to point out Murong Hua and his 'partial' foot, which is supposed to be the reason for all his venom over the years) doesn't seem to be bothering him at all. Second, it is of immense pleasure to see the red patch on the Prime Minister's face. It is not fading anytime soon. Ep. 25 It's all about father/son estrangement. His father didn't kill his mother but he might as well have as all he was interested in was confining her and grooming his son to be as vile an emperor as he has become. '
