I think you underestimate the Korean public on this, the general Korean public definitely has a very negative…
Whataboutism, really?
If you are angry, you should be angry at the actor. He is well aware of the consequences of taking drugs, but took them anyway. He is the sole reason for what happened, not the Korean culture or the government.
don't you find it absolutely hilarious that Korean ppl are like "noooo drugs???disgusting anyone who does drugs…

For some reason after watching ep 8 I keep feeling pity for SWJThe only thing I hate about him is how he cheated…
"plays the pity husband role"
That he does indeed. I don't really understand his character. He most certainly doesn't love her, neither does she love him. So what is she to him exactly? An excuse not to drug himself into oblivion?
To me it felt sluggish in the beginning. The initial cases are not very interesting, besides being tearjerkers. Episode 7 had the best case so far. And with 8 and 9 the main story seems to finally kick in.
Here is something I don't understand. Why is one of the sidekick ghosts harassing the poor interns instead of the ahole manager? What kind of twisted ghost logic is that? Besides he also seems to enjoy it. And why are the cop ghost and the ML okay with it?
I never understood these plots of suicide because of debt. the debt isn't relinquished after suicide so the killing…
I don't know how it is in SK. But around here there is generally no automatic joint liability. And for businesses there are also limitations of liability.
Premise is interesting, actors are dong a good job, but writing and direction are what I struggle with. Episode 5 had a lot going on storywise (maybe even too many narrative threads) but felt slow at the same time.
One thing that bothers me is how naive and trusting in regards to their advisors the FL's family seems to be. I actually would have expected the head of the family to have any outsiders close to the family under (even some minimal) surveillance, just to know what they are up to.
You say this from your own pov obviously, but that is not the premise of the show. I fully believe AJ is poor…
She has spent years playing as extra barely scrapping by and doing side gigs. But earning millions? for three years is too long and the stakes are somehow too high?
FL's face was really stiff in the beginning. Then came the scene with the husband and she thawed up. Makes me wonder why they didn't reshoot the initial scenes. It can't have been intentional?
The info-dump in the beginning was really bad writing. I don't feel like it was even necessary, could have been revealed over time as the plot progresses.

Looking at her biography, she has won a multiple awards. I can see why. :)

He probably just lied too her to keep her out? And I think he did expect the evil ghost to show himself, but underestimated his power.
But then there would be no drama I guess. :)
The other two though that they can use him. But he has his own plans for them.

Will keep watching though, to see where it goes.
