Since time of airing this drama, my every week looks like: whole week I am almost dying because of waiting for…
as an ardent bingewatcher myself (and a compulsive rewatcher), I wouldn't recommend to watch it all at once. It's not this kind of show. Waiting is agonizing, sure, but how much funnier it is to speculate during that time. It takes some time to digest and fully appreciate.
I'm quite worried about how this in going to turn out. Despite the original series having some horrible looking…
For me the trailer was actually promising. I was afraid that with shorter runtime the story will be mutilized for the sake of fluffy everybody-and-their-uncle-fallls-in-love-with-IU scenes, but I think the original could use some condensation so fewer eps isn't necessarily a bad thing. The trailer looks quite bloody and I like it. My only concern is Joon Ki as the 4th prince, because if wearing a carnival mask is his idea of being mysterious and hard to read then I'm uhm, sceptical (his or the writter/director/PD, but he's more visible so I blame him for now, sorry). But I don't want to criticize him before it even started based only on the trailer and his previous roles.
I hope the flow of time will be more organic and that they don't cut out the realistic parts (like: when she was a teagirl she was serving a tea after tea after tea).
/On the other hand, I'm starting to get used to the idea it's gonna be different story.
Judging from the first 2 episodes, this drama falls short of expectations. The story is disjointed at places and…
Glad to hear this! Maybe they wanted to show off at the beginning to captivate the viewer? But more plot is always a good point in my books. Especially with 60+ hours of screentime. Maybe I'll give it another shot later.
A moment for appreciation for:
1. a male lead who isn't an arrogant prick AND
2. a leading couple having something reminding of healthy relationship built on mutual attraction. Shocking.
And I'm barely past quarter of the show.
I really hope they won't let this flop and suddenly find a "cure" to his disease. There's no cure, the…
welcome in the team 'please, kill my favourite character for the sake of satisfactory ending' (although he hasn't earned this status yet, but there's plenty of time for that)
Uhm. Those half bald wigs with obvious silicone straps were reasons enough to justify a remake, but what's the deal with 4th Prince being a Phantom in the Opera?
Am I the only one who loved the hug scene not because we finally saw a HUGE development on the love-line, but…
/armchair psychology here, but I want to have a coherent view on where it's heading/
it's not a matter of subconciousness - he has never repressed or muted his feelings - he's emotionless. He has no brain capibility for falling for anyone. Meeting a nice girl isn't gonna fix his frontal lobe out of nowhere. I'm confused with this development, because - incorrectly it seems - I expected something like Dr.Frost (or BC's Sherlock).

can I hijack on this?
so, there is a love-line? No that I expected a psychological accuracy from a tv show, but is it even possible for a sociopath? I have troubles following it.
if Seo Ri/Yeon Hee was willing to die just like that for her true love why did they fought so hard to remain alive…
I think if she died before all the other candles were lit, the curse would have fallen on the entire country and saving the country had higher priority. So they have to struggle this much to lift the curse first, and then were left with the choice who will sacrifice oneself for the last candle. And he still had this book to write.
The ring sequence in episode 1 was over the top, but kinda beautiful, topping even the fake arm incident and the sixth sense protecting from the sudden death by a poison dart. Lol.
I like it so far.
Tbh, that's not the ending I was expecting but to be fair, it's not that bad imo. It's full of emotions and even…
me neither! I was almost sure they gonna pull out the usual "that's okay, neither of you has to die, the fact you were willing to is enough" trick. I wasn't emotionally prepared for this, but now that I think of this, it's very fitting. I mean, what else have I expected. The twin-brother dies, the child in a womb dies, Baron Samedi dies, why would they just have an happy ending. It's a miracle that the monk survived.
