No- The ORIGINAL Ling Buyi was lively, fun, liked to smile, energetic, etc. Huo Wusheng was more mature, quiet, liked to read, didn't like to smile. OG Ling Buyi liked almonds, Huo Wusheng was allergic but would still climb the tree and get the almonds for OG Ling Buyi. When OG Ling Buyi died and Huo Wusheng took his identity, the people around him (Empress, etc) just assumed he was more somber because of what he'd been through.

They're both hanging off a ledge, she's below him, hanging onto his arm, and there's another scene of them wearing the same clothes, and it's raining and he's carrying her unconscious inside the Cheng household. I wonder if they just adjusted that scene for a different part of the plot. Maybe after the exile. Hard to imagine that the whole segment would be cut off, especially since its still available to watch in their released BTS footage. You're right about the almonds thing though. That wasn't in the book.

that scene is the climax of their fighting once he comes back, so i would be really disappointed if it somehow wasn't included. That scene is the turning point for CSS when she begins to break down her walls again for him. It takes some time after that, but him literally begging and crying on his knees after he bites her again was a HUGELY important scene.

I've mentioned his cheek mole before, I'm honestly obsessed with it, haha. It's beyond sexy. I'm also obsessed with his eyes (they always seem to swallow any light near them and have their own internal flame - not just in the lighting with this drama, I've noticed it with Wu Lei in everything) and his eyebrows.

I wonder if the avalanche scene is happening anymore. It's supposed to take place after she finds out LBY was the one in the tower and is against the crown prince, but *before* the revenge happens. I saw them making the scene in BTS, but it doesn't seem like there's time for it now

I really hope they show that. I hope we see him playing his zither while she's working in the garden with her kids, and we see him relaxed with a FULL genuine smile (and not his half-smile he always does). Would love to see them both finally relaxed, at peace, and happy.

That's not his mother in prison. Its Madam Chunyu, his stepmother. She's married to Ling Yi. So his aunt-in-law that he hates. No love lost there.

No. LBY's father is General Huo. Ling Buyi is really Huo Wu Shang, and Ling Yi is his uncle. During the Gu City massacre, Ling Yi killed General Huo. LBY had swapped clothes with the real LBY and survived along with his Aunt, Jun Hua. She covered for him to save him. He looked similar to the real LBY and they wandered starved and homeless for over a year so when he returned home, Ling Yi just assumed it was his son. LBY's mother-in-law is the one in prison (although really, she's his aunt-in-law).
